American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) President Pete Rahn is very concerned about what he describes as a "cliff ahead" for transportation. In a candid one-on-one interview Rahn assesses the future of transportation and the growing problem of traffic congestion in America. Rahn, who is also the Director of the Missouri Department of Transportation, offers a unique perspective on the challenges state DOT's are facing. "We do not have the means today, with the resources that we have available to us, to reduce congestion and give back to people the time taken from them while they are tied up in traffic," Rahn says.
