Incoming West Point freshmen, or Plebes, all have to go through a six-week "Cadet Basic Training," more commonly referred to as "Beast." The first half of Beast focuses mostly on learning how to be a cadet, very basic soldiering skills, and getting issued your equipment. The second half (Beast II), which this video covers, is spent mostly doing training in the field, ranging from the hand grenade and rifle ranges, gas chambers, and a week-long field training exercise at Lake Frederick. The culminating event of Beast is the fifteen mile "Marchback" to West Point, which marks the end of Cadet Basic Training and the transition to the academic year. This video is a pump-up video shown to the New Cadets on the first day of Beast II, covering the highlights from previous classes.
