This is a very short compilation of Barret Deems clips in the late 80's, talking about the Armstrong All Stars (from the mid 50's). Deems not only referred to as "The Kid" by Louis but also as the "fastest drummer in the world"!

Those are rare clips with Ed Hall and the Armstrong All Stars(unfortunately very short), overdubbed by Ed Hall's unbelievable 1947 Solo on Dippermouth Blues - nobody has ever played like that before! This is absolutely revolutionary clarinet playing! It was on February 8th in 1947 at the Carnegie Hall in New York, when Armstrong and Hall shared the stage for the first time, causing Armstrong to give up his big band set up and converting back to the classic small combo at the end of that year - the All Stars were born! The entire concert is available on CD titled Louis Armstrong & All Stars Dates 1947-50 with Edmond Hall's All-Stars 1947
