This is a song I wrote a few years ago that I've reconstructed musically like five times. It's written about a friend who always put so much effort into helping everyone else with their problems that she never made time for herself. ---- Take away the night Warm us with your light As the day grows dim Keep us shining bright The face you put on for the world Is not convincing me That you want life this way Apollo Save some sun for yourself Apollo You bring enough to everyone else Apollo Let your reins fall down It's your time It's your time now Chariots of flame Carry you away To more aching hearts Bringing them the day I can hear a thousand voices Calling out your name But can you hear your own?

We've been awfully busy with other things but we wanted to get at least one video up before Super Tuesday to try and get Mike's word out the best way we know how: by being goofballs on the internets. This song is to the tune of "Time of the Season" by The Zombies and was rather fun to do so I hope you enjoy it. Lyrics: It's the time Of the season When the tension's high But this time Spell it out completely Tell me where the issues stand I think I've found somebody That I like I'm telling everyone That it's time to see reason: Vote Huckabee What's your name? (What's your name?) Who's your party? (Who's your party? Do they..) Do they represent? What the people (What the people) Really want (Really want to see) In the one they choose to lead Election day is coming So decide But if you still don't know Then it's time to see reason: Vote Huckabee

Here's another video! Sorry for the long delay, but last weekend we were busy ON THE ROAD WITH HUCKABEE!!! Woo! What an experience! We wrote this song for the trip and performed it live for the first time ever in a rally at Clemson University (where Chuck Norris himself was present). That video can be seen on my favorites as provided by the gracious Alex Harris of hucksarmy.com. This song, as you might have noticed, is to the tune of The Rolling Stones' "Honky Tonk Woman". Consequently Huck loves the Stones so he really liked it. :) Lyrics: I met a campaign blogger on his website He told me that he liked my videos He asked me if I'd like to meet the governor I told him "YES!" and went to pack my clothes 'Cause I'm a Huuuuuuuckabee voter! Gimme, gimme, gimme some Huckabee votes! I found my hotel in South Carolina Where the governor's team was gonna stay He asked me to perform at his rallies That blew my mind, so let me hear you say I'm a Huuuuuuckabee voter!! Gimme, gimme, gimme some Huckabee votes!

Our final day with the Huckabee team recapped. It was sad to leave everyone and a little disappointing to see Huck lose by such a close margin but the race is far from over!

Here's another installment of our video blog. Today was a bit crazy as we made two stops for Huck which thankfully ended in Columbia where our hotel is but we drove all over tarnation it seemed. Enjoy!

A second video describing our first day on the road with Mike Huckabee! It was beyond amazing and we look super tired in this video but that's because we just woke up so go easy on us. That and I naturally squint a lot for some reason. :-P Anyway, enjoy!

So Jared and I were asked to do a sort of travel log on our trip and both of us are TERRIBLE at any sort of blogging (in that we're just lazy) so we figured that since this business started with youtube, we could just continue along the same vein and make VIDEO logs! So yeah sorry if it's boring, but it's better than nothing, eh?

Here's another installment of our support parodies coming to you in full Huckavision. This time around Jared and I are bringing back the harmony heavy imitating the group that early on we were said to have sounded like: Simon and Garfunkle. The song, as you might imagine, we based this tune off of was their mega-hit "Mrs. Robinson". So if you get mad at us for mentioning Jesus and God you can take that up with them, that's their lines. :-P Interestingly enough we didn't have to change many of the lines since they fit so well but without much further ado, here are the words. Lyrics: Here's to you, Mr. Huckabee Jesus loves you more than you will know Oh oh oh God bless you please, Mr. Huckabee The White House holds a place for those who pray Hey hey hey, hey hey hey We'd like to know a little bit about you for our files We'd like to help you help the nation now Look around you all you see are scrutinizing eyes Stroll around the grounds until you feel at home Here's to you, Mr. Huckabee Jesus loves you more than you will know Oh oh oh God bless you please, Mr. Huckabee The White House holds a place for those who pray Hey hey hey, hey hey hey Forget about the hiding places, everyone will know But that's the life of public service There's no such thing as just the Huckabees' affair Worst of all you've got to feed it to the press Coo coo cachoo, Mr. Huckabee Jesus would choose you if he could vote Oh oh oh God bless you please, Mr. Huckabee The White House holds a place for those who pray Hey hey hey, hey hey hey Sitting on a sofa on a Sunday afternoon Going to the candidate's debate Sing about it, shout about it 'cause we've got to choose If it's not Huck we're gonna lose Where have you gone, Lady Liberty? A nation turns its needy eyes to you Woo woo woo What's that you say, Mr. Huckabee? You have got a plan for us today Hey hey hey, hey hey hey

This was a fun video to put together as it contains not one, but TWO songs. It is to the tune of Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and Oasis' "Wonderwall" because of their bittersweet tone and the fact that they're in the exact same key and have the exact same chords in the verses. :-P As per usual, the lyrics are mine. It's a celebration of Huck's victory in Iowa and yet a reminder that it's long from over. Lyrics: They all made fun of me When I said I'd vote for Huckabee Don't know where it leads But on this road I know I'm not alone They said the "college vote" Was spoken for and that I'm on my own So it's up to me And J-money to show we're not alone We're not alone, we're not alone We're not alone, we're not a... In Iowa the winds of change are blowing And Huckabee's support is slowly growing He proved that he is still a real contender And that we're not alone He won by nine percent And showed it's not about how much is spent So we the people chose To stand beside him and we're not alone He'll continue to fight But not because he hates the left or right He loves the ones behind And behind him we'll stand; we're not alone *** Today is gonna be the day That they're gonna start slinging mud By now I'm sure you've somehow Realized he'll survive the flood I don't believe that anybody Will do a better job than he will now Backbeat, the word is on the street That he's got the competition scared They were sure they'd heard it all before But they found themselves unprepared I don't believe that anybody Fears the way they do about him now And he's got forty-nine states still before him But he's got our support to reassure him There are many things that he said that he will do When he's president Maybe He's gonna be the one to change things And as for me I'm voting Huckabee

Because of the overwhelming demand for another song both here, on Mike Huckabee's campaign blog, and on http://www.hucksarmy.com's forums Jared and I decided to oblige. This is a parody of "Help!" by The Beatles. It's a great song (and movie) and if you haven't heard/seen it you need to pause this video and do so immediately. --- Lyrics: Huck! I need somebody Huck! Not just anybody Huck! We really need someone Huckabee! (When... when I was young...) When I was younger, so much younger than today (I thought that I...) I thought that I could go and throw my vote away (Now... those days are gone...) But now those days are gone, I know what they are worth (There's only one...) Now there's only one man I can vote for on this earth Huckabee will take terrorists down And fight to keep the right to life around Illegal immigrants stay on your ground Won't you please vote Huckabee (Hey... we need a change...) The USA will change in oh so many ways (Let's break the bank...) With Huck the IRS will vanish in a haze (Give... their bill of rights...) he'll give the veterans the rights that they deserve (And sing and paint...) And thinks that school without the arts is borderline absurd Huckabee will take terrorists down And fight to keep the right to life around Illegal immigrants stay on your ground Won't you please vote Huckabee

This is a supporter video for the Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee that a friend of mine (Jared Shelton) and I made for his website. Hopefully the powers that be will put it up on his blog or something. It is to the tune of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Deep Blue Something but the lyrics are by yours truly. And here they are: --- You said you've got nothing in common With the candidates to choose from And you're losing heart You'll say the Big Three don't do it for you Their negative ads bore you And you just might stay home So I said, "What about voting for Huckabee?" She said, "I think I remember that man, And as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked him." And I said, "Well, he's the best hope we've got." You see he's the only one who's for them Faith, Family and Freedom In the right order So what now? It seems he's the best for us He's even got Chuck Norris Telling us how it's gonna be (When the eyes of the ranger fall upon you You better like Mike) So I said, "What about voting for Huckabee?" She said, "I think I remember that man, And as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked him." And I said, "Well, he's the best hope we've got."

Another song I wrote, this one about, you guessed it, apathy. Lyrics: The mind is a terrible thing to lose What's your excuse? What's your excuse? When you're a beggar they won't let you choose So what's the use? What's the use? Go on go easy on yourself Drop the ball, stick your head underground The upside of apathy is this: No strings attached; you'll never pull me down The heart is a terrible thing to waste Give me a taste Yeah just one taste The truth is sometimes just too hard to face Let's take its place Take its place Go on go easy on yourself Drop the ball, stick your head underground The upside of apathy is this: No strings attached; you'll never pull me down (Bring me down) Don't bring me down (Bring me down) Don't bring me down (Bring me down) If you love me let me drown Don't bring me down Go on go easy on yourself Drop the ball, stick your head underground The upside of apathy is this: No strings attached; you'll never pull me down

Another original song I wrote about losing touch with old friends. Lyrics: How does it go When an old friend Becomes a handshake by the door? Who is it for? Like a photograph In a shoebox Holds recognition but nothing more Who's keeping score? Hold on to me before I'm gone Hold on to me before I'm gone Synthetic smiles And formalities Empty phrases like "Let's keep in touch" I've said too much They won't bring us back To five years ago And it's my fault that I miss you this much I'm out of touch Hold on to me before I'm gone Hold on to me before I'm gone Sometimes people fade away And we're forced to carry on So please hold on to me before I'm gone I'm sorry for the way I've been And sorry for the way I am I can make no guarantees But with your help I can try to Make things right again

A little diddy I wrote a while ago to combat the entire Emo genre. Word up. Just imagine my terrible whistling in the bridge is a sweet guitar solo. Lyrics: The only thing worse than losing Is anticipation of the loss The hands of the clock keep ticking down Each minute adding to the cost Sad songs are easier to write Let's shock the system They'll never know what hit them Turn on when they turn off the light They'll tell us to follow To open up and swallow Fight fire with a smile Why do we bother trying? It seems our destiny to fail We keep on singin' this tired song The words we speak have become stale
