Brendan Ryan, 2002 champion Goldpanners shortstop, is now an infielder for the St. Louis Cardinals. Take a look at Brendan when he was with the Panners. A guy who never stops moving, check out his hustle on the field.. on EVERY pitch. He suffered two big injuries during the season, including a broken collarbone. The second part of the clip shows Brendan in a sling after that injury. One of the craziest ballplayers ever, Brendan, after a Cardinals game last week (7/12/8), said that his time with the Goldpanners was "probably up there at the top" of his baseball experiences. The segment closes with his impersonation of his Goldpanners/Lewis-Clark State head coach Ed Cheff.

Products of this program include Sean Timmons, who is the Goldpanners' winningest pitcher.. and yours truly, who was coached by 1984 American League Rookie of the Year Alvin Davis.

This is perhaps the most underrated highlight in all of baseball... the run scoring sacrifice fly. In this 2004 game against Kenai, Mike Lissman (OSU Two-Time National Champion) perfectly executes the sacrifice, showing his good fundamentals. Also in the shot are Paul Keck at second, and Joe Persichina (10) coming to bat.

Warning: This is a long clip from the 2005 season. Just for fun, try to pinpoint the time it strikes (oh, the anticipation!) It is an example of how quickly storms can build up behind Birch Hill and then pour onto Fairbanks. Try to find the precise clock time when the Power Supply was knocked out for about :20.. during which time the storm exploded. Be sure to keep your speakers up loud so that you can be sure when it comes! The dancers are Quinn Stewart and Kris Medlen. Keep an eye out for #32 - Allan Dykstra, the 2008 first round draft pick by San Diego. Complain that it is boring or too long if you wish... but that only discourages my posting of longer clips.
