Oke, nog 1 hint dan: Hind, beter bekend als de ex-idol waar Henk-Jan Smits het hardst van werd, gaat ons prachtige land vertegenwoordigen op het Eurovisie Songfestival in Servië. Dit is net bekend gemaakt door de NOS. Het nummer moet nog gekozen worden, maar waarschijnlijk gaat dat weer via een leuke tvshow met smsverkiezingen. Hoera. Zeker is wel dat deze niet door Paul de Leeuw wordt gepresenteerd... Op 24 mei staat onze Hind in Servie tijdens de 53ste editie van het voornamelijk Oostblokse zangspektakel. Op 22 mei zijn de twee halve finales, maar wij kunnen ons niet voorstellen dat Hind er dan al uitvliegt, dus schrijf maar gewoon 24 mei in je agenda! Nikki zong het nummer Hello World, geproduceerd door juryleden Eric van Tijn en John Ewbank. Eric: "Dit is heel bijzonder. Meestal wordt een nummer niet meteen live aan het publiek gepresenteerd, maar vanavond ging het perfect." "Dit nummer vergt veel van de zangeres, omdat er zoveel hoge en lage tonen in voorkomen. Maar Nikki heeft het vol overgave gezongen. Petje af" , aldus John. Ook al is Hello World door haar collega-juryleden geproduceerd, Jerney had het nog niet eerder gehoord. "Wat een verrassing! Het doet me denken aan een feestorkest." Gordon reageert dolenthousiast. "Ik hoop dat familie en vrienden van Nikki beseffen dat de ´oude´ Nikki nooit meer terugkomt. De nieuwe single van Jeroen van der Boom - Betekenis (musicclip) Biografie Nog tijdens zijn middelbare schooltijd stond Jeroen van der Boom al op het podium. Samen met een schoolvriend speelde hij in het bandje The Travellers. Na zijn studie begon zijn werk in de showbizz. [bewerk] Televisie Eind 1996 werd hij gevraagd als presentator van het tv-programma Real TV, wat later werd omgedoopt tot Explosief. In het programma dat hij samen met Ariane Spier presenteerde, kwamen filmpjes voorbij met schokkende dingen, voornamelijk uit de Verenigde Staten. Na Explosief presenteerde hij ook het muziekprogramma 15 Miljoen Mensen, Barney's Dart Show (samen met darter Raymond van Barneveld) en Domino Day. In 2002 richtte hij zijn eigen productiemaatschappij op: Rebeltv & events. Nadat hij eerder al een rol speelde in de theatershow Barcelona, opgevoerd in Event Centre Aalsmeer, werd hij in 2004 gevraagd voor de dinnershow Novomundo. Tot 2007 sprak hij stemmen in bij de animatieserie Café de Wereld, een onderdeel van De Wereld Draait Door. Daar imiteerde hij stemmen van onder andere Gerard Joling. Ook zat hij in 2007 bij het cabaret van Koppensnellers, onder leiding van Jack Spijkerman. Zingen Behalve presentator is Jeroen van der Boom ook zanger. Hij geeft regelmatig optredens in Nederland. In 2006 kreeg hij de kans een cd op te nemen. Op deze plaat kwamen covers te staan van o.a. Don't Stop Me Now (Queen) en Wonderful Tonight (Eric Clapton), maar dan in een speciale jazz uitvoering. Ook in 2007 ging zijn succes als zanger verder, na zijn eigen versie van het nummer She's A Lady van Tom Jones uitgegeven te hebben, werd hij uitgekozen om tijdens diens optreden in de Heineken Music Hall op 21 april 2007 het voorprogramma te verzorgen. Op 18 juni 2007 kwam de single Jij bent zo uit. Dit nummer is een Nederlandse bewerking van het Spaanse Silencio van David Bisbal. Voor Jeroen van der Boom betekende het zijn Top 40-debuut en bovendien een enorm succes. Jij bent zo werd een grote hit en kwam begin augustus op de hoogste positie van de Single Top 100. Ook in de Top 40 ging de plaat naar nummer 1, waar het twee weken bleef staan. Uiteindelijk bleef de single bijna een half jaar in de hitlijsten hangen en werd het zelfs de grootste hit van 2007. Ook in Vlaanderen werd de single een nummer 1-hit. Op 12 november kwam er een nieuwe single uit, Eén wereld. Dit nummer ging in december net als zijn voorganger eveneens naar nummer 1. Net als Jij bent zo bleef het twee weken aan de top. Prijzen Jeroen ontving 12 september 2007 de Pluim van de Duim award uit handen van Juan da Silva, directeur Inkoop van Free Record Shop. Sometimes I had little projects, like being a soloist with a choir or orchestra, or singing background-vocals in pop-bands. The idea of being a singer and singing teacher got more and more attractive. After 2 years of preparing I decided to give it a go, and I tried to get into the conservatory. After finishing my highschool in 2001, I just got 17 years old, I started studying at the conservatory of Maastricht (the Netherlands). An exciting time... I had my first (pop) band to perform with and I learned a lot about singing, music-theory and of course jazz; a style of music that actually was pretty new for me! By the time I got into my third year I'd fallen in love with singing jazz-music. There's so much freedom... you can make a song totally your own and sing it like it's your story... to me that's something really special. Thanks to the conservatory I had the chance to do some nice projects with the Conservatorium Maastricht big band (North Sea Jazz 2004, Rouen (France) 2005) and the free improvisation project 'Fatal Footsteps' (Rouen (France) 2006). In 2004 I started the Ellen Bliek band, with the help of some wonderful musicians (and great people :-)). We play jazz-standards, but arrange the songs ourselfs. Recently we also started to work on own material. Our demo will be ready soon and my new website is online now (www.ellenbliek.com). At the moment I'm teaching pop/jazz singing at the music school in Heerlen and sometimes I also give workshops. In 2005 I received my 'bachelor of music' and 'bachelor of music in education' degree, and I was happy to be chosen as a student for the master-program.
