I found this Sonic the Hedgehog ROM hack online and it's pretty good. I'm impressed to see multiple characters, new moves, and new physics in Sonic 1. There are plenty of graphic, sound, and music changes. I was disappointed to see many levels completely unchanged from the original, but I suppose this is only a beta.

This is a demonstration of a 3D computer graphics technique called subsurface scattering. When light hits real surfaces like wax, milk, and skin it will bounce around for a while before reflecting back. This technique allows these translucent materials to appear more realistic when we try to recreate them with a computer.

For this project I was given photos of a vase. The vase had a layer of metal oxide within the glass, this created a unique effect where the vase would appear to change color as you viewed it from different angles. My goal was to recreate this effect on a computer generated 3d vase using a custom Renderman shader. I also wanted to achieve this result without using a raytracer.
