Both songs are available on Apocalyptic Raids (mine happens to be Apocalyptic Raids 1990 A.D. reissue for these particular tracks, despite the fact I have both covers shown on the video.) EP. Hellhammer formed in in Switzerland in 1982 with the most prominent members being the great Tom G. Warrior and Martin Ain of Celtic Frost fame. The band would go on to be widely credited as greatly influential forDeath Metal & Black Metal notably.

Old, strictly BM style Astarte. Band formed in Athens, Greece '95 under the name Lloth. The band was changed to Astarte after the ancient goddess of the same name. This is not Tristessa (latter-day vocalist)on vocals, since this album was before '03. Vocalist is Kinthia. Album is Rise From Within (2000). Band would later go on to present a more Black/Melodic Death style sound.

I like this band now as much as with their old stuff because they have always been the kind of band who were never the ones to keep themselves in a box, they branched out and took chances daringly. A true musical connoisseur can respect that. from Hate Them. First formed as Black Death in 1987 as a Norwegian Death Metal band. Soon after they changed their namre to Darkthrone and put out their first full length in '91 entitled Soulside Journey. The album differed from much of the rest that came after in that is was a pure DM sound. Afterwards they met Euronymous in Oslo and the inspiration to switch to True Norwegian Black Metal began with A Blaze In The Northern Sky, and followed along with some of the most classic BM albums ever put to audio. Albums such as Under a Funeral Moon, Transilvanian Hunger, Panzerfaust, and Ravishing Grimness to name a few. The band has been known for sticking to a simple, raw based and sometimes rather punk influenced sound in their music. They are one of the cornerstones of Norwegian Black Metal and possibly the most influentual (or one could dare say, the most copied). They are still going at it after 16 yrs, the band currently put out F.O.A.D (Fuck Off And Die) in 2007.

Xasthur is a one man American Black Metal band founded by Malefic and first had a drummer by the name of Ritual. Ritual left and from the on Xasthur was sole musician of the "band". Malefic hails from California in the US and is one of the most miserable & nihilistic musician/misanthropes to roam the Earth. His projects are usually full of pitch black production and evil "buzz", along with traces of psychodelic sound and distant sounding drums, much like the infamous Burzum. The vocals are abyssial and otherworldly, and full of hate and anguish Some call Xasthur's music "Suicidal Black Metal", however this is open to dispute. The lyrics are certainly anti-life in their nature, and many times dealing with the supernatural, what lies after death, etc. This particular track, Abysmal Depths Are Flooded, is from the album Telepathic With The Deceased, Xasthur's 3rd full length album. Listening to the albums in dark seclusion is always fastinating, the first time I did, putting my imagination to it, some of the songs literally scared the shit out of me. This music is not your average BM. It has an atmosphere like no other. If you ae into this kind of BM there are more groups popping up like this, I personally however don't listen to it all the time. It is good however. What I did for the video was really try to go for something GRIM. So I spliced together a couple things, including a show about buddihism and death among others, and combine it. The approach was to make something like a guy having a bad nightmare or an "old hag" attack if you know what that is, on video set to the music, and the clips combined with experiences of bad dreams I've had myself certainly helped. The man sleeping in bed has a terrible bad dream about the world ending and his soul falling into an abyssial void, along with other inexplainable visions. While the "Xastur", which is a Sumerian entity that attacks people in thier sleep, works its horrors on the poor man. Anyone out there think this has happened to YOU? Nattefrost is mostly known as the particularly vulgar and Satanic vocalist of the Norwegian BM band Carpathian Forest, but has also made solo band albums that are just as classic. Forming the band in the year of our dark lord, 2003, Nattefrost's band is a mixture old school raw BM and rather obvious punk influences. Tsjuder was a Norwegian Black Metal band that formed in 1993 as Nag (vocalist/bassist), Beserk (guitarist), Torvus (drums) and Draugluin (guitarist). Over the years between 1993 and 2004 many had joined and left the band, but Nag and Draugluin were pretty much the mainstayers of the group. In 2006, after a good run of 13 years, the mighty Tsjuder split up and the band ended. One of the founders, Nag, and former drummer Desecrator has now formed a new band called Krypt, set to spread True Norwegian Black Metal all over again. This Tsjuder song is called Unholy Paragon, from the classic album Desert Northern Hell. Due to my WMM having some problems, I had to use another shitty program that I am not really familiar with. No slideshow this time, just take in the music of what pure, no-nonsense Norwegian BM really sounds like. This is a fan vid of Emperor's Towards the Pantheon, from the Black Metal classic In The Nightside Eclipse album, the video designed by me, Dionysus333. This would be the first video I ever made on Windows Movie Maker, using a Roman Empire theme as the idea, I basically threw a bundle of pics together to make a slideshow. The Pantheon I know of is located in Rome, Italy, a place I've had the utmost pleasure to visit before. It was outstanding. Now, being this was my first vid mates, if this may not be "up to par" with those who are "masters" of the YouTube world, well my apologies... heh. For those who don't know by now, the legendary Norwegian Black Metal band Emperor formed in 1991 on Candlelight records as one of the forefathers of Melodic Black Metal, as well as what's known today as "Symphonic Black Metal". Over the years they have released 4 full length albums and 3 each of splits, EPs and compilations that have become TRVE treasures in the annals of Black Metal, and had recently reunited to play shows after a lengthly abscence.
