This is the Intro to the game "NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams" on Nintendo Wii. The long awaited sequel [that took 11 years to produce] to the Sega Saturn classic "NiGHTS Into Dreams..." on the Sega Saturn. I loaded my 100% Complete Save File and showed the easter egg of being able to re-skin William Taylor and play as Elliot Edwards (the male main character from the first game). I plan to do a video game review series soon enough, but for the time being, I'm uploading another video. I'm still working hard, so stay tuned, as always. --- Extra Tags NiGHTS into Dreams... This video is meant to be a demonstration of a new TV Capture Card I bought for my PC and installed. VisionTek TV Wonder HD 650 , by ATI. I used the game F-Zero GX for Nintendo Gamecube as a demonstration because it runs at a smooth 60 FPS and high speeds. The video is a quick run of the course "COSMO TERMINAL: Trident" on "Master" difficulty, in my custom machine [ SUPER WOLF-Z ] with James McCloud as the pilot. I'm glad to say the video turned out splendidly. I didn't waste my money, it seems. When the video first finished recording, it was about 980 MB--but it was in High Definition and even captured the full 60 FPS speed of the game (Yayz!!~~) ... But I had to shrink it down to just under 100 MB to meet Video Hosting standards--albeit at a reduced framerate and resolution. In any case, this means I can start up a series of videos soon. I'll be posting more videos eventually. So stay tuned. :D

A Music Video from me, DeviFoxx. Featuring the song 「少年ハート」 "Shounen Heart", by the Japanese R&B band 「HOME MADE 家族」 "Home Made Kazoku". Originally, I intended this video to be by entry for the 2007 FFXI FanFestival Video Contest. However, my time ran short unfortunately--and the rules were a bit more strict this year as it seems. Not to be deterred, however. I decided to see my video through all the way to its end. I don't need to enter a contest to prove my worth. I will always have an audience on the internet, I feel. Says my friend, Sean--who helped me with certain parts of this video. This video was the first time I used "Adobe After Effects" also. Typically, I always used "Adobe Premiere Pro". But After Effects was good for implimenting many 3-D elements that Premiere Pro just isn't capable of pulling off. So if the 3-D part of the video looks a little "jumpy", please bear with me. The hand-drawn Artwork was by a friend I commissioned [albeit for free, even though I owe him greatly] by Sean "Kato Arabel" Danielson. [ http://www.venthyrll-saga.com/ ] He did the initial line art and colored in the battle posing characters (the ones that appear in the 3-D segment), while I colored in the still poses (the ones that appear at the end and beginning of the video). By his permission, I will make the hand-drawn art available on my website. Also, this video (in the original resolution) will be available on my website in the "Videos" section. [ http://www.devimension.com/ ] There is still so much to do. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this! ------ FFXI Final Fantasy XI Square Enix DeviFoxx Home Made Kazoku ファイナルファンタジィ Quetzalcoatl Devimension Fan Fest Festival 2007

I was just relaxing at home tonight when I saw that Maple Story finally gained enough popularity for people to complain about it in the news. I don't play Maple Story--Rather, I played it for about a week roughly a year ago--I need a more "serious" game than that. But I thought this would be funny to share. Interesting Marketing tactic... Now why didn't I think of that?! MapleStory ...

This is the first in a series of clips from the Japanese-only, 2002 Puzzle game Mr. Driller Drill Land for Nintendo Gamecube (ミスタードリラードリルランド。ニンテンドウ ゲームキュブ). The basic synopsis and premise of this installment of the series is that the Hori family and friends have been invited as special guests to the newly constructed Subterranean Theme Park, "Drill Land". Little do they know that Dr. Manhole (The game's antagonist) is up to his old tricks again. I translated these in-game FMVs, and I plan to translate the rest of them because I'm trying to hone my skills and increase my fluency with the Japanese language. I've included the original Japanese text transcript of both movies on my website ( www.devimension.com ) [in the "Videos" section that corresponds to this specific video] to use as a "study guide". Feel free to use it yourself if you want to brush up on your Japanese. One part of the first video I had trouble hearing due to the fact that the voice actor for Hiroshi Suzuki has a very nasal voice. So I pretty much guessed as to what was being said with the words I could barely make out. To translate this video, I pasted a white text bubble over the original Japanese subtitles, and added (and timed fairly accurately) the English text overlaid on top of it. Also, don't ask me what the "Byte Generation" is. I simply saw the word "BAITO-dai" バイト代. Presumably, it's the name of Dr. Manhole's evil crime syndicate? Maybe... I don't know, because we've only had three Mr. Driller games officially released in English here in America. This game is one I personally imported and played on my modded Gamecube, then recorded footage from. Keep an eye out for the remainder of the videos. More to come. Stay tuned. ======== Update: August 11th, 2007 ======== After referring with a close Japanese friend of mine, I found out what the term "BAITO-dai" バイト代 is. It refers to your Salary / Payment for a Part-time Job. So I should've translated Producer Freyd's line from "Byte Generation" to "Your Paycheck."

This is a clip from one of the bonuses of "Mr. Driller Drill Land" for Nintendo Gamecube (ミスタードリラードリルランド・ニンテンドウ ゲームキュブ) by NAMCO. The game was released in Japan only. After playing the game, it has become clear that whoever designed the majority of this game has obviously visited Disneyland here in California. Most of the "attractions" in this "theme park" are based off of Disneyland rides and attractions. This is no exception. The Drill Land Dreamin' Parade is an obvious reference to Disneyland's "Main Street Electrical Parade". The floats in this parade are of the five different attractions in this theme park. · "Drindy Adventure" (Referencing the "Indiana Jones" ride). · "Star Driller" (Referencing Disneyland's "Star Wars" themed attraction, "Star Tours"). · "The Hole of Druaga" (Referencing two sources. NAMCO's old "Tower of Druaga" video game franchise, and having it take place at the theme park's rendition of "Cinderella's Castle"). · "Horror Night House" (Referencing Disneyland's "The Haunted Mansion" attraction). · "World Drill Tour" (Referencing Disneyland's "It's a Small World" attraction. This especially becomes apparent when you play this part of the game). The game itself is quite enjoyable, and if you have a modified Nintendo Gamecube or Nintendo Wii, I suggest getting this thrilling puzzle game--especially considering that Mr. Driller games have a tendency to go out of print rather quickly.

Another translation from me, DeviFoxx. This time I'm translating the cutscene(s) of the Japanese-only "Mr. Driller Drill Land" for Nintendo Gamecube 「ミスタードリラー・ドリルランド。 日本語→英語映画翻訳」 First is "Susume! I was kind of bored, so I decided to play around in a random match, and upload a video for some of my friends. In recent projects [roughly at the start of June 2007], I have been propositioned by users "supersaito" and "elnegro492003" to work with them, and "KaioShin" in a large-scale product to create an English Patched Version of the PlayStation 2 Strategy RPG "Namco X Capcom". The main site where more information regarding this English Patch is available at: http://transgen.awardspace.com/ Namco X Capcom (Pronounced "Namco Cross Capcom") originally released in Japan only on May 15th, 2005. Developed by Monolith Soft (a subdivision of NAMCO that is now mostly owned by Nintendo. They are responsible for creating the "Xenosaga" RPG series), but published by Namco. It's pretty fair to assume that the game isn't going to see a release outside of Japan anytime soon. Especially considering the fact that it took the game roughly a year to hit the "Greatest Hits" title in Japan. My former attempt at translating the intro to Namco X Capcom was noticed by Saito, and I was contacted almost immediately. My first try at translating the song was somewhat of a bust, I felt. I didn't know too much about Japanese as a second language at the time. But since then, I've learned quite a bit. This video is my re-translation of the Namco X Capcom theme "Subarashiki Shin Sekai" ("Magnificent New World"). You may compare it to my previous video if you like. The intended use for this video is to reinsert it into the actual game as part of the English patch for Namco X Capcom--Hence the credits. I re-did this video as a contribution towards the team, and a show of support for the cause. Please visit http://transgen.awardspace.com/ for information on the Translation Patch Project for Namco X Capcom. Or to see any of my other works, visit my website: http://www.devimension.com/

The "Mr. Driller" game franchise is very near and dear to me. It's a very addictive puzzle game which--like many of NAMCO's finest games--seldom sees a stateside release, or at least a release several years after the original Japanese release. You follow the adventurer--a young boy by the name of Susumu Hori--as he defends the world from subterranean troublemakers. Susumu Hori is the biological love-child of "Taizou Hori" (Star of "Dig-Dug") and "Masuyo Tobi" (Star of "Baraduke", she also goes by the nickname "Kissy"). In the NAMCO world, some franchises take place in the same universe. Every now and again, I'll translate a song from Japanese to English on a sheer whim. This happened to be one of those instances. I love Mr. Driller, you see. Additionally, I was awake all night filled with anxiety and energy (that, and about three and a half cups of coffee). I had nothing better to do than to sit there and fiddle with the song. Luckily for me, it was about 4:00am PST by the time I finished, and my British lady-friend Sarah, who also studies Japanese like I do, decided to help me out for a bit. She helped me locate and identify certain Kanji characters I had trouble deciphering--and in return, I taught her certain grammatical and syntax formats to help boost her class grade a bit. The end result is this. Here's the translation sheet for the whole song--I suggest that you have Japanese Language Text support installed on your computer, because on my website I have a tendency to toggle back and forth between English and Japanese dialogue. --- ももいろへルメットに 「Momoiro HERUMETTO ni」 "You're wearing your Helmet," なびく前髪おちゃめ 「Nabikumaegami ochame」 "Playfully twisting the bangs in your hair..." 愛と勇気があれば 「Ai to Yuuki ga areba」 "If Love and Courage are there..." こわせないものないよ 「Kowasenaimo no naiyo」 "There's nothing you can't break through!" くずれかけた迷路で 「Kuzurekaketa meiro de」 "The maze has begun to deteriorate..." 泣きたい時もあるけど 「Nakitai toki mo arukedo」 "You feel like crying..." 腕にみなぎるエナジー 「Ude ni minagiru ENAJII」 "But your arms are pumped up with Energy!" そうさ! 「Sou sa!」 "That's right!" 今日も明日も堀のさ! 「Kyoumo asumo hori no sa!」 "Just dig out of today and into tomorrow!" はるかな、はるかな未来へ 「Haru ka na, Haru ka na, mirai he」 "Towards the Far, Far Future..." ホリホリ、ホリホリ、ホリ・ススム! 「Hori Hori, Hori Hori, Hori Susumu!」* "...Keep Digging-Digging, Digging-Digging, Dig Onward!" (This is a pun because the main character's name is "Susumu Hori". Susumu means "Onward / To Advance" and "Hori" means "to Dig" or "Excavate".) DIG A CHANCE! 地底の果てに 「Chitei no ha te ni」 "To the depths of the earth..." 希望と夢が 「Kibou to Yume ga」 "Your desires and dreams..." 埋まっているよ 「Umatte iru yo」 "They're buried there..." だから 「Dakara」 "So, therefore" すすめ!ドリラー 「Susume! DORIRAA」 "Go for it! Driller!" --- If you want to post my translation on your blog or website or whatever, I honestly don't mind--If I did mind, I wouldn't bother posting it at all. However, if you do plan on doing it, I would greatly appreciate the acknowledgement of you citing me as a source. You can distribute it--just don't take credit for originally writing it, that's all I ask. I wrote this out on Friday, March 16th, 2007. I wrote the translation sheet in the morning, finishing it at about 4:00am PST, and finally submitted the video at about 8:30pm PST. Check for posting, and "last modified" dates. I hope you enjoy my translation, and I would personally like to thank YouTube.com user "Zreserve" for submitting the raw dump of the video game's introduction. Mr. Driller Great--along with the majority of other Mr. Driller games--are VERY rare to come by. Even in Japan, as most of the discs are now out of print. There'll be more to come from me, everyone. So stay tuned, as always. - DeviFoxx

Video 3 of 3 This is clipped from an early PlayStation 2 RPG known as "Ephemeral Fantasia". It was an RPG made by KONAMI. Technologically, and Graphically the game was not very good. Most of the people who played the game were drawn to it simply by its Anime-style Box Art. At that time, this was more than enough reason to buy a game. The game's graphical prowess makes it feel like an early "Sega Dreamcast" game. It does have a few minigames--the most prominent of which is an altered version of "Guitar Freaks" (another KONAMI franchise), in which the main character must play his guitar to accomplish a few quests. The basic storyline is that you are a young Thief and traveling Musician by the name of "Mouse". Your partner is a 300+ year old enchanted talking guitar by the name of "Pattimo". One day, by invitation of King Xelpherpolis, you take a journey to the mysterious island of Pandule. Upon meeting with the king, Mouse finds out why the king has summoned him. Mouse is to compose a musical piece to be played at the King's upcomming wedding to the gorgeous Princess Loreille. Afterwards, Mouse takes a tour of the island with the beautiful Castle Guard, Rummy. Five days pass. Mouse plays the song he has composed. But notices that everyone has frozen in time. King Xelpherpolis' true intentions were to simply add more "loyal subjects" to his kingdom. Mouse is helpless to stop him and time rewinds backwards by five days to when Mouse first arrived. With Pattimo's help, Mouse recovers his memory and sets out to help free others from the spell of time. The game itself isn't "great". The only redeeming quality it has though is a decent-sounding instrumental soundtrack. The song being played in the video is called "Eternal Love". Like much of the soundtrack, the majority (however not all) of the tunes focus around the same basical melody that is more or less the "Anthem" of the game
