Police have released CCTV images of the last walk home made by Chinese student Xi Zhou, who was murdered in her Newcastle flat along with her boyfriend. The 25-year-old was captured on camera taking the bus home from the Wagamama restaurant were she worked and walking in the West End.

This is some of the last footage ever taken of Chinese couple Zhen Xing Yang, 25, and his girlfriend Xi Zhou, known as Ci Ci. The pair were bludgeoned and knifed to death in their beds at the flat they shared in Croydon Road, in Newcastle's West End. Police are now appealing for help in catching their killer.

Drivers in Stanley were treated to a free car wash after a water pipe burst by the side of the Causey Arch Road.
