Hello, I am Induma. In next vlogs, my name, Induma, won't be mentioned anymore. You know who I am.
Anyways,
Now I want to discuss about my [spontaneous] insight. You might think that my insight came from prayer, meditation, or something special. Really, no. It had nothing to do meditations or prayers.
What happened was, it was funny -- I can't believe it... I sat with my husband at the couch discussing when I told him I needed to take a shower since we were planning on going to grandparent's house for dinner. So, I got up and walked around the chair. I have to turn around a little to get through this room (the chair I'm currently sitting in is in the way). Somehow, I slipped [quickly] ---
Wait! [one moment gesture] Hold on. It was very slow!
[Repeats the action, but with a slowed-down version] -- while I was in the air, I thought, "Oh come on! Not again!"
In the past, I always have been clumsy and awkward. I have lousy deterx-- deter -- [thinking]
[The word, Dexterity, shows up on the screen while I try so hard to remember how to spell it.]
I have to look at what it is again. I forgot it, but it's similar to clumsy and awkward. I always have been that way since.
Anyways, I was in the air slipping when I was thinking, "Oh not again!" when I realized that I couldn't stop it. It was already too late. So, I guessed/knew I had to tolerate it through so I prepared myself, using my intuition, to brace myself for the impact. Being ready for it, I felt much rested. I wasn't afraid or panicking at all, which was very strange.
Bracing myself, I fell to the floor in a slow motion. I burst in laughter. I laughed and laughed. I wasn't in pain -- well, I did feel the pain, but I was too busy laughing! My husband came and checked on me. He was shocked and replied something like hahaha! You fell slowly! He laughed hard too! I laughed too! It was hilarious about falling slowly. Haha!
What I have learned? What was my insight? [Light bulb comes on -- sorry, ASL cannot be directly translated... but for curious folks, it literally means understand].
It is funny.
Really-- you know about the pain from my fall --
[shows arm] Poor it.
And my leg, on my knee is scratched too.
What is the point? The pain is supposed to be bad right? Not this time, I actually enjoyed this experience. It was exactly like roller coaster when I fell. I had a good attitude and tolerated my fall. It was so fun that I laughed.
So what is my insight? Pain, sufferings, and other negative things mean I must experience negative thing too. Right? No. I can just enjoy and have a good experience. I can have a good attitude about it -- change the attitude about it. Big difference! It is surprisingly simple. I fell and now I have learned something! Funny!
I wonder if it ever happened to you before, such as simple, silly, or whatever occurrence, which caused you to learn a good deep insight? Please go ahead and share and discuss with us while having fun!
Thanks for watching me! [Thumbs-up and I-love-you sign]
