I am no stranger to PvP or movie making... However, I am a stranger to the warrior class.
Not long in the 70 bracket (About a month'ish) this is my fourth level 70 character and it is customary for me to record footage during play as it's at the most fun point, for me, when experiencing new sides to the game - Warrior PvP is one of them.
Having PvP'd for 2 years on my Rogue, mixed in with occasional PvP on my hunter, I later leveled my shadow priest, Mhuldoon, who is my current arena focus character, yet stopped after hitting 2.3k rating in the 2v2 bracket and later met complications which disallowed me to focus on arena further.
Since then I've stopped, and having got bored with the game, decided to add the new angle of this new character / class to the PvP scene.
Warrior, for me, has definately proven to be the toughest to play, in terms of PvP, as all my other characters have many life-lines and between 1-2 years of experience to help - So here I am, kitted up in nigh unto full BG gear in a quest to learn the warrior way, in an environment infected by welfare scrub leechers and PvE fanatics, both of which aren't much better if at all, than THIS scrub brawling learner.
I flipped on FRAPS and recorded for a solid night (Yes, this is a few hours of PvP in one movie) and throw in the fact that no matter what time of the day I play, I only ever meet people in the same gear bracket as me but no clue, it is absolutely impossible to record anything decent, but rather than throw my footage away I decided to make a little trailer, as I definitely intend to make more, especially once I make time to actually participate and focus on our upcoming 5v5.
This movie is NOT an attempt to showcase skill or want of perfection - I'm not long enough playing this class to know how to fight properly with it so take this as a movie from someone who would like to learn, as well as a short response to all those people on the BG Realm Forums asking "What is your battlegroup like?" Check it out and see for yourself.
If you're looking for warrior clips of people skillfully and tactifully taking on amazing odds and pulling through to tell the tale, or failing that, great editing to cover the cracks, this isn't for you - It doesn't deserve great editing attention for a learner flick.
If, however, you'd like to participate in my project to improve and/or witness the dire quality of PvP on Reckoning, then feel free to watch this short flick - I'd like to think I'm doing ok and no doubt will improve with arena practice and gear, despite current lack of warrior macros and post-basic skill.
Warning, contains Smash-Mouth playstyle that is customary for a learner. Due to above mentioned lack of skill, I have to pretty much burn everything to ensure I punch harder than the target - At the same time, I adopt this with a shock-troop playstyle where sometimes the fight is decided purely due to my lack of /care for the amount of people in my way - It's always nice to witness people panic when they get charged full on, by a lone warrior, despite the fact they have 2-5 friends with them. My method is to dive right in, and take down as many enemies as possible before I'm put into the ground, generally in areas that need attack/defense in the BG (I'm not a mindless ganker).
Hope this makes it to WCM, it'll be my first PvP movie (Trailer) that actually HAS proper PvP unlike my Shadow Priest trailer which was made to practice editing and encourage Khadgar.EU server world PvP after I lost out on ability to arena.
Music: Within Temptation - A Dangerous Mind
Please don't rate this on your own expectation of a great movie, this is very short, very honest, very raw and from a learner perspective - So instead, why not give some constructive criticism so that maybe, one day, I'll be able to come back with something better. You'll be able to tell from this description, and the movie icon above, if this movie will appeal to you.
