"I am doing the female lead in the Hindi version of 'Santosh Subramaniam'," said a happy Genelia.
Calling on the media to celebrate the huge success of the movie, she said, "Hitherto, I was calling an actress without much luck in Tamil cinema. 'Santosh Subramaniyam' has changed my fortunes in Tamil. Today my role as Hasini has reached every household".
"Currently busy acting in three Hindi movies (including one by Aamir Khan Production), a couple of Telugu and a Kannada movie", she says, "I am eagerly waiting for a good script in Tamil. I would henceforth concentrate more in Tamil".
"The character of Hasini is close to my real life. I am a happy-go-lucky girl in my real life", she said.
On reports that she demands huge remuneration for her films, she said, "I never demand my producers for huge salary. I charge according to my worth".
A visibly thrilled director Raja said, " 'Santosh Subramaniaym's success is bigger than my earlier movies."
"The movie is liked by everyone and all members of the family love it", he said.
"The climax sequence in which Ravi speaks a lengthy dialogue which runs for 15 minutes was captured in one shot. Ravi deserves a pat for his performance," Raja said and added Hasini (Genelia) has taken this movie to the B and C centers too".
Jayam Ravi was also present on the occasion and he narrated his experiences working in the film.
