By Elmore James,....."Shake Your Moneymaker", about 1961. In 1963 Chicago blues disc jockey Big Bill Hill contacted Elmore and arranged for him to make further recordings and another "comeback". Sadly, it was not to be. His health impaired by years of travel, precarious living, and over reliance on alcohol, he suffered a heart attack on May 23, 1963. It has only been since his death that he has been accorded the icongraphic status he NOW COMMANDS as one of the towering figures of the Blues.....Pete Welding.
