Los Primos means "The Cousins" in Spanish and describes the relationship that now exists between many Canadian and Cuban primos. Thanks to the passion of founders Jeff and Amara Goodspeed and a multitude of friends and supporters, Los Primos has created a strong cultural connection between Cuba and Nova Scotia. Since its humble beginnings in 1997, Los Primos has donated more than 320 musical instruments for the benefit of Cuban musicians and implemented a band exchange program to advance the musical and cultural education of Canadian and Cuban students-of-music.
