Its a beautiful summer day in the end of August.I have been out picking blackberries earlier. As usual, the thorns have ripped my skin.On the way to the beach,I found a bucket of apples with plastic bags.In the bucket, there was a note telling that they had fallen from the tree and was free for anyone to take.I took several and continued bicycling. After taking a wrong turn too early,I got lost and had to take the same way back.Almost at the beach,I met a friend and spoke to him for a while. At the beach,it was ebb tide and a bit sand out to the sea.I managed to bike almost the whole way to the water. In my basket,I had a towel and mens swim suit in form of two pair of bathing shorts or trunks.I wrapped the towel around my body, took of the clothes I had and put on the bathing wear. There were some single small clouds but otherwise a blue heaven.Several Wind Surfers was there.I went out in the water to begin acting funny.By stomping with the feet for a while,I made a rather deep hole. With my feet and lower legs locked in the sand,I could bend over at all sides without falling having lots of fun. After this,I started jumping. After a short while,I heard someone shout at me.Hey, stop making a fool of yourself, was the words. On the sand,a man equipped in wine black and white sport suit was standing.Suddenly, he began throwing wet sand at me.I was hit several times so hard that I fell backwards. He then got afraid and asked me how I was.He took of his shoes, rolled up his trousers and walked out in the water probably to help me.I decided to give back.I took my right hand full with sand and threw at him aiming on his face.He was taken all by surprise and I got a perfect hit.All his face including eyes was covered by wet sand. He got angry and promised to come back after me.In the picture you can see a hill with cabins surrounded by a fence. There are lot of reed growing in the openings of several brooks. Its sharp and cuts like a knife,I know by own experience.A big neighbor is the trailer camp for drug addicts and other with social or criminal problems. On emergency, guards have to come quick to arrest violent and drunk rule breakers.Several classmates live in this gangsta hood. Besides some rocks is a small shipyard. In the other direction is teenagers playing volley ball. Further south, many are watching the weekly football soccer match. Its just locals and guests but no beckham.Everywhere there are picnic blankets.Police dogs are running free although its forbidden and one tried to take my leather sandals shoes. My loud screams didnt scare him.The owner discovered and called back the furry animal but she didnt take care of the poop. The car parking was almost empty and bikers had taken the train, tram or bus. The grass area was green but damaged on spots.None was using the public shower to wash off the salt. The shop was selling ice cream, sausages and soda. They also had candy, sweets and snacks. Some workers were joking and laughed. There were both young and teenager girls and boys with parents.Senior citizen ladies sipped coffee and ate cookies and cupcakes. Others were having milk cocoa or a chocolate bar.One could hear crying children and cute babies that didnt want to leave the water. The Bay Watch staff sat down resting with binoculars, radio and life saving gear a moment away. There are nice stones and shells with smooth and soft faces.Lots of tiny fish creatures, jellyfish and starfish are populating the land. When you leave this place, you always feel comfortable and get huge satisfaction. It only takes half an hour to bicycle downtown to the city and seldom traffic jam.You can buy burgers and food from a kiosk at the entrance. The Asian owners are very kind. They have a chinchilla,a hamster and a Siamese cat that hunts birds, mice and rats. Two times a week at night, they empty the garbage can which contains paper, maggots, puke and left over.Women have to pay for a toilet or bathroom visit but gentlemen havent to.It smells bad almost causing you to vomit. Often there is fire in the woods nearby with sirens from emergency vehicles arriving.Once a patient burned his belly after dancing dangerously close to the heat.Accidents like that happen when people are using alcohol and cigarettes.Eventually, they will come to a judge that sends them to prison accompanied by guards. An institute for retards has caused concern in the families.Crazy maniacs expose themselves by flashing private parts. Its a big problem and I have seen it with my own eyes.My mother and father often travel here for pleasure and no pain. One day,I will oil paint the bay on canvas using yellow, red, purple, orange, cyan, pink and magenta colors.A project like that will take days, months or years to finish. Many muscular sport enthusiasts run, walk, stretch or are doing team muscle exercise here. They have expensive fashion clothes that are special and often shiny. The mad video was made using a female tripod.

Google Tech Talks May, 7 2008 ABSTRACT The way most organizations think and work on products and services isn't suited to the unpredictable world we live in. Google Tech Talks February, 8 2008 ABSTRACT Internet searching and advertising increasingly plays a role in consumer decisions and purchases, yet pertinent information for making value-judgments is currently awkward to ferret out and certainly not universally accessible or useful. There is rarely a feedback loop aligning vendor or manufacturer's environmental, social or governance policies with a shopper's values, so shoppers, over time, rarely cause industries to change their behavior. There needs to be a way for shoppers to aim their purchasing power at achieving social values of highest regional priority. There needs to be a way to accumulate and redeem "social values rewards". What's missing is timely and impactful analysis of a candidate purchases' impact on the Shopper's family, region and planet (expressed according to their values), so that the purchaser can more easily make informed purchasing decisions. With some modifications to Google ads and Google product search, Google could solidify the feedback loop and help consumers, by their actions, build a greener and better world. Speaker: Bruce Cahan Bruce B. Cahan, President Urban Logic, Inc. (a nonprofit organization) Email: bcahan@urbanlogic.org Bruce Cahan is an Ashoka Fellow, a social entrepreneur, a non-residential fellow of Stanford Law School's Center for Internet and Society, a lawyer, and a banker. In 1989, a steam pipe exploded outside his apartment building, spraying the neighborhood with 220 pounds of asbestos wrapping in an 18-story geyser of steam for several hours. After that, Bruce foresaw New York City's need for geospatial preparedness, and founded Urban Logic, a New York nonprofit, to make America's cities safer and sustainable. Bruce convinced New York to fund and build a multi-agency GIS basemap. As a bond lawyer, he found $20+ million in the City's capital budget to pay for its GIS utility. NYC's basemap was completed just 6 months before the tragic events of September 11th, 2001, and aided in coordinated response and recovery. In the months after September 11th, Bruce joined others at the City's Command Center to organize and staff its Emergency Mapping and Data Center. His team supplied the Mayor's Office, Fire, Police, EMS, military, public health, environment, news and other groups with up-to-date maps of rapidly changing conditions at Ground Zero and throughout Manhattan. Bruce was the catalyst for deploying OpenGIS' SensorWeb project to monitor environmental conditions citywide, and other innovations. Taking 9/11's lessons, Bruce designed the federal OMB's I-Team Initiative to strategically plan and implement spatial readiness across 49 states. Bruce's knowledge of finance, law and organizational barriers to spatial awareness and urban innovation comes from researching and writing major studies for the federal government, including . Financing the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (FGDC 2000) . Aligning Investments in Environmental Monitoring and Management Information Systems (EPA 2002) . The Value Proposition for GeoSpatial One Stop (OMB 2004) . A Regional Portfolio Investor's Toolkit (USGS 2006) In 2005, Bruce moved to Silicon Valley to organize two market-driven mechanisms that support urban sustainability. The first he calls the Means MeterTM, a tool for socially-purposeful consumers to buy products that reflect their values. The second is a bank that amplifies the sustainable impacts of Means MeterTM consumers and their vendors. The bank will reward choices that grow Sustainable ResiliencyTM. Bruce's bank would serve consumers, businesses, NGOs and governments. The bank would offer credit, insurance, investment and merchant banking services, and scale pricing and interest rates based on each customer's impact on Sustainable ResiliencyTM. Bruce graduated from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Temple Law School. Bruce practiced law for 10 years with Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York, where he specialized in structuring and negotiating complex corporate, bond, creditor's rights and real estate finance and ot...

Source: NASCAR Public Relations Date: 05/16/2005 DAYTONA BEACH, Florida -- Defending NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Southwest Series champion Jim Pettit II from Prunedale, Calif. continued his quest for a second series title by winning the Rialto Concrete Products "100" Saturday night at Mesa Marin (Calif.) Raceway. Pettit held off a persistent charge from Auggie Vidovich throughout the race to take the victory by a mere .003 seconds ahead of Vidovich. Burney Lamar, Dan Holtz, and Bud Pole Award winner Jeff Jefferson rounded out the top five finishers. Jeff Jefferson of Naches, Wash. has won the season ending Bud Pole Award for the past four consecutive seasons on the Northwest Series and he hopes he can continue that streak in his first full-time Southwest Series campaign. Jefferson toured the high-banked half-mile paved oval with a quick lap of 18.552 seconds/97.025 mph to top the speed charts in qualifying. Nick Lynch, M.K. Kanke, Greg Pursley, and Vidovich rounding out the fast five after qualifying concluded. Jefferson in his Lemay Auto Museum/Tri-County Parts Dodge drew a six-car invert to the 100-lap race and would start sixth putting Pettit on the pole with Vidovich outside front row for the third consecutive race. After seeing Vidovich take the lead on the opening lap in the past two Southwest Series races, Pettit was ready to pounce as the field of 27 cars took the green flag. Pettit motored his Racing for the Missing Ford into turn one beating Vidovich at his own game. Vidovich settled into second. The field quickly sorted out behind the lead duo, but with only 100 laps in which to race, everybody was determined to take advantage of any miscues. Long-time series veteran M.K. Kanke of Frazier Park, Calif. asserted his Perricone Juices Chevrolet under Vidovich on lap three letting the former champ know his was on his game. Vidovich prevailed and the Kanke fell in line in third position. Greg Pursley and Nick Lynch rounded out the top five at lap 10 with Jefferson, Burney Lamar, Eddy McKean, Dan Holtz, and Brandon Riehl completing the top ten in the running order. Pettit held the point at lap 26 when he started lapping cars. Pettit was able to move effortlessly through the lap traffic and build a small lead on Vidovich. During this green flag run Doug McCoun suffered mechanical troubles ending his night with a disappointing 27th place finish. Jefferson asserted his Dodge into the mix by passing Lynch on lap 28 for sixth and setting up a race long battle with Lamar and Pursley. The first caution came out on lap 40 for Nick Lynch as he cut a right front tire and slammed the outside turn one wall. Lynch and his crew would return to the race and finish 25th. The quick yellow saw the field restart on lap 43 with Pettit out front followed by Vidovich, Kanke, Pursley, and Jefferson. But as quickly as the green flew, the caution came our again as Sunoco Rookie leader Dustin Jones careened off the inside backstretch wall after contact with another car on the restart. Jones was uninjured but his car was heavily damaged. The race restarted again on lap 50 with Pettit holding the point with Vidovich in pursuit followed by a determined Kanke who was looking for his fifth Mesa Marin victory. That victory would elude Kanke as he cut a tire and had to pit dropping him two laps down under green. As Kanke pitted, Jefferson got underneath Pursley for third while Lamar and McKean battled side-by-side for several laps. Pursley took third back on lap 53 with McKean passing Jefferson for fourth on the outside in turn four on lap 56. The third caution came out on lap 59 for Sunoco Rookie David Mayhew when his Chevrolet made contact with the turn two wall. Mayhew's night was over. While under caution Brandon Riehl suffered ignition trouble ending his night early. Riehl has been one of the fastest cars at each Southwest Series events this season but bad luck has sidelined his efforts so far. Pettit continued his domination on the lap 64 restart. The final caution came out when Keith Spangler was sent spinning down the back stretch after contact with another car. Spangler was able to rejoin the field and would finish 14th. By lap 85, Pettit and Vidovich broke away from the rest of the field and put lapped cars between them and the rest of the top ten. Lamar was in third with Jefferson in fourth, with McKean rounding out the top five. McKean was looking for a way around Jefferson when his Pontiac got loose in turn four dropping him back to ninth with only ten laps to go. At the lap 90 mark, Pettit was still in control of the race but Vidovich was asserting himself pressuring Pettit at each turn. Lamar held down the third position with Holtz moving by Jefferson for fourth. Eric Holmes was running sixth while Sunoco rookie Ryan Foster had moved up to seventh from his 22nd starting position. McKean was back to eighth followed by Greg Voigt and Stan Silva Jr. Eddy McKean made a late race charge passing both Foster and Holmes over the final three laps to move back to the sixth position. As the checkered flag flew Pettit was able to hold off Vidovich by a mere .003 seconds to claim his first victory of the year and regain the series point lead after four races. "These Southwest Series races are hard to win," Pettit said. "Auggie was better than I was in turns one and two, but I had the advantage in turns three and four. It was great racing with Auggie and I know he wanted to win a third straight race, but I felt this placed owed me one and finishing second was not an option." "I really can't be disappointed to finish second," Vidovich said. "We had a great car and we had another great finish." Lamar was excited to finish third with a car that was not quite right. "We struggled all day trying to make the car turn," Lamar said. "We are happy with the finish as it feels like a win after the day we have had. A top three finish gives us a lot of momentum heading to Colorado." Back luck has plagued Dan Holtz all season, but a forth place finish is just what the doctor ordered. "I just love racing here at Mesa Marin," Holtz said. "Just when I get down on myself, we have a solid finish. It was fun racing the guys tonight and bring the car home in one piece. My hat's of to Jim and his crew for the win." Bud Pole Award winner Jeff Jefferson started sixth and finished fifth to record his second top five finish of the season. "The car was fast, but so were a bunch of others and we just missed it a bit," Jefferson said. "This series is tough and you have to be right every lap and we just got tight loose and could make it any further forward." Jefferson claimed his second consecutive Bud Pole Award with a quick lap of 18.552 seconds/97.025 mph to lead 27 drivers in qualifying. The race took just 40 minutes and 26 seconds to complete at an average speed of 74.196 mph. The action was slowed four times for 18 laps of caution. Ryan Foster claimed the PowerAde Power Move-of-the-Race Award for improving the most positions in the 100-lap event (14). Burney Lamar received the Featherlite Award for improving the most positions from the previous race. (22nd to 3rd). Ryan Foster was also the top finishing Sunoco Rookie-of-the-Year candidate for the third straight race with an eighth place finish. The Southwest Series will return to Mesa Marin Raceway in October for a special 300-lap event sponsored by Star Nursery.Com. The event will feature live pit stops drawing the top drivers from all over the western United States. The next event for the Southwest Series will be Saturday, June 4 at Colorado National Speedway in Erie, Colo. The race is a combination event with the Midwest Series featuring the best drivers from two series' of NASCAR's AutoZone Elite Division. Note: Pettit's winning car is a Port City chassis with a Ford power plant from Top of the Hill Performance. Pettit is involved with Racing for the Missing featuring Tyrone Bryant of fort Wayne, IN. "Our Racing for the Missing is effort is such an essential part of what each and every community should be aware of, which is to educate each family member about being safe and having an open line of communication with each other so they feel comfortable in letting each other know where they are while away from home," Pettit said.
