www.outreachasia.com Born in a small village in Southern Leyte, Philippines, Ms. Flory Tacle couldn't run around and play like most children. Flory was born with a birth defect that left her with one leg non-existent below the knee and the other was malformed and unusable. Since birth she moved about by walking on her knees. The volunteers of Outreach Asia met Flory as one of their sponsored college students and rallied to her cause. February of 2004 was the beginning of a new life for Flory as she completed the necessary surgery and began the long road to physical therapy to adjust to her new legs. At the age of 19, she now had to learn how to walk. With a energetic personality, Flory set one of her many goals...to complete a 3 mile walk around Lake Harriet in Minneapolis on her new prosthetic legs to help raise funds for her school's library. "Flory's Walk" was a tremendous success for both Flory and her school. She made the entire trip and in the process raised desperately needed funds for her school library. This tiny nation was once known for its lush, natural beauty, but today is one of the poorest countries in the world. Each and every day the people face the crippling effects of poverty, undrinkable water, high infant mortality, poor medical care, illiteracy and high unemployment. However, given the opportunity, the Haitian people will help themselves. Haiti Outreach is committed to providing that opportunity.

The Phelophepa Train, affectionately known as 'The Miracle Train' (funded from donations from international companies) travels to rural communities in South Africa bringing much needed health care services including medical, dental and psychological counselling to the residents there. Aboard the train is a full-time Journey Practitioner, who is fully funded by The Journey's charitable arm, Journey Outreach and The Phelophepa Foundation and this video shows how Journeywork has transformed the lives of children and adults en-route. Since its beginnings in 2004 Journey Outreach has been reaching out to children throughout the world helping them to heal from the daily traumas they face and now has numerous, active programmes in South Africa, Botswana, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and America.

Well Pastor Reuben was sharing this amazing story: About 10 years ago at an outreach, they had met this one couple, prayed for them, and the wife had come to church. Last month, while at another outreach, they had met a teenage girl and were picking her up for church. The mom came running out of her house and wanted Pastor Reuben to come inside she wanted to show him something. And there on her mantle of her house was a picture of Pastor Reuben and Nora they had taken with them 10 years prior. The point is that Even though there was no way to tell that this lady was holding onto a shred of Hope, and it was symbolized by a small picture on her mantle of Pastor Reuben and Nora, this lady was praying, and for them to pick up her daughter it was an answer to prayer. Many times we see with our human eyes only a small crowd at an outreach, so we dismiss it as ineffective. However Gods view is different, and Gods word does not return void, without accomplishing his purpose. Is it all worth it for one soul? Even though on this side of eternity we will never know who has been touched by an outreach?
