According to Jamie maussan, The shuttle Atlantis released a ton of water into space and a mysterious UFO goes near to investigate.. Hang on..Back up a second!? Water being released into space by NASA? Now forgive me if there is some plausible explanation that I did not know about. But try as I might I have not found anything online about the shuttle releasing water, let alone why. Now why would NASA release a large amount of water into space? Is it just a standard procedure for the shuttle Atlantis to release what it doesn't need in fluid or is it something more sinister like secret experiment we don't know about or weather manipulation?.. Phoenix Heads for Mars, Spacecraft Healthy The Phoenix spacecraft has separated from the Delta II rocket and ground controllers at NASA's Deep Space Network have acquired its signal and begun assessing its health. The solar panels that will power the mission's cruise phase will be deployed and Phoenix will be pointed to best receive solar power and communicate with Earth. The spacecraft has oriented itself to the sun as it was programmed to do. It will use solar panels to generate electricity during the nine-month coast to Mars. The NASA STS-75 mission ran a trial experimental tether that was to be used for towing and placing satellites into orbit. During this experiment they had a problem and the 12 mile long tether snapped due to the synthetic material accumulating a critical charge. The shuttles cameras monitored the tether and its 100 million dollar satellite it was towing just drift away. This was all video taped live, and what was captured on this video is absolutely incredible. NASA on Thursday also extended the mission of the Phoenix Mars Lander by five weeks, saying its work was moving beyond the search for water to exploring whether the red planet was ever capable of sustaining life.
