The Nage-No-Kata (combined movements of attack/defense) I performed for my Judo Shodan grading (black belt). I am the girl doing the throwing from the right of the screen (called 'tori').
This is one component of a judo grading, after amassing the required competition points. You also have to demonstrate the go-kyo throws (40 basic techniques), combinations ('renraku-henka waza'), chocks (=strangulation, 'shime waza'), armlocks ('kansetsu waza'), turnovers ('kaeshi waza'), guard passes/subs from guard ('osaekomi waza'), be able to explain the principles as though you were teaching them and answer refereeing questions.
