Doctor informs a shattered Gautam and Damini that Mayank has multiple sclerosis. She goes ahead to tell them that it is not fatal and that he might get handicapped for the rest of his life. Both get helpless. Damini breaks down seeing her baby. She is pained to see that it has happened at such a young age when he has not yet learnt to laugh, talk and play. Meanwhile the family waits for Gautam to be home.
