In a recent interview, Obama called his mother "the dominant figure in my formative years. . . . The values she taught me continue to be my touchstone when it comes to how I go about the world of politics." While in high school, Stanley Ann Dunham drifted to the radical left. Her mother described Stanley Ann as an "Adlai Stevenson liberal." In point of fact, she was a a typical 60's radical in the 1950s. Mercer island High School was the subject of an investigation by the House Un-American Activities Subcommittee when it was learned that the Communist Party, USA had infiltrated the school and several faculty members were Marxists. In 1955, the chairman of the Mercer Island school board, John Stenhouse, testified that he had been a member of the Communist Party. Two of Dunham's teachers, Jim Wichterman and Val Foubert, were active Marxists who brainwashed many of the students before they were discovered. Ann was an zealous atheist and she would debate atheism with anyone who wanted to challenge her views. From high school on, Dunham was attracted only to African American males and, according to one of her high school friends, Susan Blake, she never dated white boys. The most dangerous revolutions are not those which tear everything down, and cause the streets to run with blood, but those which leave everything standing, while cunningly emptying it of any significance". The Danish philosopher `Kierkegaard`. London's Evening Standard Edition for 1st July 2008 reported in an article entitled `Happyland` that a recent opinion poll revealed that of all the peoples of the world, Danes were the happiest. This the poll stated was due to the country's peaceful atmosphere, Democracy and social equality. In recent times, there have been several such surveys conducted, all of which asserted that Denmark is the happiest place on the planet. The question is of course, why do we need to keep being told this? What is the purpose, and is there an agenda? I am a British expat who has lived here 13 years and for the life of me, I cannot see Danes as being a happy people at all. Denmark is, and has been for years, a `Test Zone` for the European Union in particular and the emerging New World Order in general. The constant reinforcing of this Danish `fairy tale` in the international media is contrived to convince people that the subtle mental prison that is Denmark is a highly desirable model that all should strive for. The Danish concept of happiness is quite different to that of say the USA, or any of the other English-speaking land. Danish happiness is tied up entirely in one word; `Tryghed` or safety/security. Now these elements might be necessary for a happy life, but they do not constitute happiness in themselves. A prisoner sentenced to life might feel `safe and secure`, but how many would claim to be happy? The most common English dictionary definition of happiness is; " A state of pleasure, joy, exhilaration, bliss, contentment, delight, enjoyment, satisfaction". Of the above, I can only say that I have witnessed in the Dane a sense of resigned contentment and satisfaction with his or her lot. The other elements are highly conspicuous by their absence. It should be noted that Danes are generally undemanding and compliant by nature and so long as the Status Quo is maintained, they shuffle about their lives innocuously enough. So what is this all about then? It's about constructing an environment where people become servile and acquiescent. Grateful for the `scraps` handed down to them by their benevolent master, the State. As Aldous Huxley wrote in Brave New World, "The perfect Totalitarian State is one where the political bosses, and their army of managers, control a population of slaves, who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude". This describes the conditions in Denmark perfectly. Denmark and the Danes, along with Sweden (please read `The New Totalitarians by Roland Huntford) have been used as a model for the EU Superstate. Danes are kept in the dark and fed on Mushrooms.. To instill a sense of superiority and security, the Danish State Propaganda Machine must continually convey these messages: That it is in every respect functioning successfully. That is superior in all aspects. That the people and the state are indivisible. That the state apparatus is the democratically elected guardian of the Danish way of life. Leonard Schapiro wrote ; "The true object of propaganda is neither to convince nor persuade, but to produce a uniform pattern of public utterance in which the first trace of unorthodox thought reveals itself as a jarring dissonance". If Denmark is filled with all these happy folk, why is it that this Socialist Utopia has one of the highest suicide rates in the world, especially amongst the youth, with a rapidly growing number of young people of school age being prescribed anti depressant drugs, massive levels of alcoholism, a growing disaffection between the genders, resulting in low marriage levels, a below replacement birth rate, and a alienation and polarization between the generations. Is this really a description of `Happy land`? So, are Danes happy? They have certainly been conditioned to believe they are. Are they secure? The illusion that they are remains, but cracks in the `dam` are appearing. For the present, until the `experiment` is concluded, and so long as they continue to acquiesce to the relentless demands for an ever greater share of their personal wealth, Danes will continue to worship their holiest of Holies `Tryghed` and believe themselves `cared for` by their `benefactor and protector`, the Danish State . In conclusion, the Danish variant of happiness is simply not the same as one would find in, for example, Australia or the USA . Like a Canary in a cage, provided all the essentials of survival are present, with the illusion of credit created affluence intact, the Dane will proclaim his `happiness`. -Families in meltdown, judge says- BBC News A senior family court judge has hit out at the government over what he says is an "epidemic" of family failure that will have "catastrophic" effects. In a speech, Mr Justice Coleridge, a Family Division judge for England and Wales, warned the results could be as destructive as global warming. He said ministers are not doing enough about a "meltdown" in family life. The government defended its record on the family and said most children were "safe, healthy, and achieve well". In a speech in Brighton to lawyers from Resolution, formerly the Solicitors' Family Law Association, the judge warned of a "cancerous" increase in broken families and said the government must take "comprehensive action". The judge said those who witnessed the goings-on inside family courts would be aware of it being a "never ending carnival of human misery - a ceaseless river of human distress". Using very strong language, Mr Justice Coleridge warned of a bleak future if the UK did not address the problems he described. He said "the effects of family breakdown" would, within the next 20 years, be "as marked and as destructive as the effects of global warming". "We are experiencing a period of family meltdown whose effects will be as catastrophic as the meltdown of the ice caps," said the judge, who added that its effects pose "as big a threat to the future of our society as terrorism, street crime or drugs". Mr Justice Coleridge said the collapse of family life is at a scale and severity that would have been unimaginable even 10 years ago. 'Broken' families "What is certain is that almost all of society's social ills can be traced directly to the collapse of the family life," he said. However, Mr Justice Coleridge, who heads family courts in the south west of England, did not criticise single parents directly. "I am not saying every broken family produces dysfunctional children but I am saying that almost every dysfunctional child is the product of a broken family. "What is government doing to recognise and face up to the emerging situation? The answer is: very little and nothing like enough. "It is fiddling whilst Rome burns." Mr Justice Coleridge outlined a number of recommendations to improve the societal ills he described. The suggestions included placing family justice at the top of the political agenda; allocating more staffing and money to family issues; better funding for contact centres to aid family cohesion; and extensive reforms of the laws relating to divorce, cohabitation and financial relief. On the issue of legal reforms, Mr Justice Coleridge said divorce law and those relating to financial orders were "last properly reformed two generations ago, in the mid-60s, when society was altogether different. "The current laws are not suited to modern social mores of the way we live now." 'Challenging circumstances' A spokeswoman for the Department for Children, Families and Schools said: "Most children and young people in England today are safe, healthy, and achieve well." She added: "We do not agree that there has been a breakdown in the family - 70% of families are headed by a married couple. "And a recent BBC poll suggests that three-quarters of people in Britain are optimistic about the future of their families, 24% higher than when the same question was asked in 1964." The spokeswoman said the Children's Plan put children and families at the centre of everything the government did. Meanwhile, more than £250m was being spent developing local services for parents in England, focusing on those in "challenging circumstances". David Laws, the Liberal Democrat spokesman for children, schools and families, said the judge was highlighting trends dating back at least 20 years. "This government is not the source of the family breakdown problem but policies such as the operation of tax credits have made it more difficult for some families to bring up children in stable, two-parent households," he said.

This interview took place at Sheikh Deedat's residence in Verulam, South Africa. Sheikh Ahmed Deedat: In 1986, the King Faisal Foundation awarded the King Faisal International Prize for SERVICE TO ISLAM, to a South African who is more or better known than many dignitaries in their own countries. This was the first time that this prestigious award has been awarded to a South African. The recipient of this award was a man totally dedicated to his faith and its propagation and who was not afraid to challenge any one to a debate to settle once and for all the matter, who has the good news right? He was none other than Sheikh Ahmed Deedat, reverently known and called UNCLE by those who hold him in high esteem and admiration. The award came after a lifetime of struggle to propagate Islam and to defend Islam against the onslaught of the missionaries. Finally, he was given recognition by the international Muslim community that he deserved and focused more sharply the attention of the Muslim world on the most important aspect of his work, the challenge to propagate Islam. This was his life long ambition to focus the Muslim world's attention and resources on the propagation of Islam, and at last he succeeded. What a moment of jubilation, achievement and personal gratification for Sheikh Deedat the award was, a turning point in his life. Sheikh Deedat did not have much formal schooling, but he was self-taught through experience and a penchant for reading, debating, discussion, and a profound sense of commitment to a mission and goal. He was driven and goal oriented. He was focused and never let up until the job was done. He was sharp, perceptive, forthright, fiery, and daring in his challenge of those whom he debated, particularly against those who equal his missionary zeal and sense of audacity. Formal schooling did not destroy his creative prowess, his tenacity, ambition, drive, and sheer daring to swim upstream. Sheikh Deedat was more a scholar of the Bible than the Qur'an, and was more familiar and adroit with its teachings. He had an insight and perspective of the Bible which made many Christians he came into contact with rethink and re-examine their faith, particularly those aspects of the Bible and the Qur'an that deal with the divine mission and life of Prophet Jesus. On May 3, 1996, Sheikh Ahmed Deedat suffered a stroke which left him paralyzed from the neck down, and also meant that he could no longer speak or swallow. He was flown to a hospital in Riyadh, where he was taught to communicate through a series of eye-movements. He spent the last nine years of his life in a bed in his home in Verulam, South Africa, encouraging people to engage in da'wah. He continued to receive hundreds of letters of support from around the world. During these years, rumors spread throughout the Internet that he was already dead, and even some websites that contained his pamphlets mentioned as early as 2002 that he was dead. On August 8, 2005, Ahmed Deedat finally succumbed to his prolonged illness and died at his home in Trevennen Road, Verulam in the province of KwaZulu Natal.
