This tune sounds Irish or Scottish but was actually written in the 1930s by the then Prince of Wales - later to be the Duke of Windsor - and is a slow march in 3/4 time. I've taken the first theme only and put a middle section into the piece, so it's essentially my own arrangement. I took the original tune from a book of Northumbrian pipe music.
To add some colour to the piece, I've played it against a background of string bass, guitar, harp and pipe - just for a change!
