AU. Mohinder and Niki meet and there is an instant attraction, but before they can get too close, Niki runs out on him. Disappointed, Mohinder ends up at a strip club where he is stunned to see Niki on stage. He races after her backstage to try and talk to her, but is stopped by a security guard and she slips away. He ends up finding her website and watches her stripping, and is torn between liking and hating it. He goes back to the club, where she less-than-happily agrees to talk to him but she basically tells him this is her life and she doesn't need him and leaves. He persistently comes back again and this time she tells him she wants nothing to do with him and to just leave her alone. But he can't help himself and he ends up out front of her house. He lets himself in while she's out and tries to convince her that he loves her when she comes home, but she tells him she can't and he needs to stop because he's scaring her, and finally, he leaves. He ends up on her site again, and while he's watching, she shows up at his office. He's happy to see her, hoping she'd reconsidered but she chickens out when she hears what he was watching and runs out again, leaving him bemused and confused. But by now, she can't help but be curious so she goes to his apartment and says she'll give it a shot.
