Hehehe, I did this just 2 hours after watching the first episode of the second season of Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni. That's right ladies and gentlemen, it's out right now!!!
Ahem, got a little excited there... Anyway, the title can translate roughly to "The Flower of Hell", a fitting title for the lyrics as some lines in the song were "You are not a flower in an abyss, Don't bloom in such a place".
Once again, I think the singer for the opening, Eiko Shimamiya, pulled it off for the fans. With a calm opening giving way to a catchy, driving beat for the chorus, this opening rivals that of the first season's. It's lost much of that creepiness feel to it, but gained some calmness and solitude, sounding like a "solution" to all the horror and madness is about to be found.
Depending on people's reaction to my video, I might redo it because I just did it on the fly. I think I sped up a little and there were a couple of very small mistakes during the chorus. That doesn't mean I didn't put effort into it. I had to listen to the original song many times to get the correct notes. So without further ado, here it is, in piano form!
*Just did it by ear, of course there's no sheet music yet! The first episode just came out!*
