Lakshya is a film about the 1999 Kargil War, of the many bollywood films on the subject this is said to be one of the fairest and least jingoistic, judge for yourself. This song is poignant even sans lyrics, and is for me what lakshya is really about, inner turmoil set in outward turmoil, in this case the turmoil resulting from growing and maturing and realizing that it can't always be as you want it. The main actors of the movie, Hithrick and Priety work often together though they are not together, and yet I wish they were- they have really good chemsitry and I cannot remember the last time I've ever cared about an onscreen couple. The movie is long, and "real" enough to not be insulting, but optimistic enough to be fantasy... pure cinematic magic - something rarely seen in american movies.
