This is an EXTREMELY RARE song from Slipknot's rare first album, Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat. This album was limited to only 1000 copies and is now worth up to $800. I am proud to say, thay I have signed the online petition started by the 1 and only mfkr1.com to re-release this album and allow mfkr1.com to sell what they love most. MFKR, stands for Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat. which was Slipknot's real first album. It waz b4 they got a major label deal, and waz recorded localy. Some songz were remade for their first album, and are on it. Slipknot is a really good band, so give them a chance, they may seem like crazy people music, but they are really good. They started out with just 4 people, (Now they have 9!) and they had a different singer. One of the Guys that plays percussion and does backup vocals, Shawn Chran or something like that, waz the drummer, until they got Joey Jordinson, then he switched to percussion. So the line up then was,
Anders Confosili- Vocals
Joey Jordinson- Drums
Shawn Crahn- Percussion- Backing vocals
Someguy Don't Know- Guitar
Paul Grey- Bass
Eventually they added a second guitar, and a Keyboard/Sampler, Craig "133" Jones. Jones, was, IS messed up. He says that "If I were'nt in this band, I'd probably be a Serial Killer.", Which is probably true. The Old Singer, Anders, says that "It seems like a cool thing to hate people in general, but when you can't help it...I've always felt sorry for Craig.", and the percussionist, Shawn, said about him, "I feel like im doing a service to the community by always knowing where Craig is." Then, they recorded MFKR in a local studio. It Was:
1. Slipknot (The song that the band was eventually named
2. Gently (Remade for their Iowa album, and there never releaased "Crowz" album, which i will talk bout later)
3. Do Nothing/Bitch Slap
4. Only One (Also remade for their "Slipknot Album, with Road runner records)
5. Tattered & Torn (Remade for the Selftitled Major-Label Album)
6. Confessions
7. Some Feel
8. Killers Are Quiet (A 20 and 3/4 minute song inspired by Craig Jones)
This album was limited to very few copies, so now it is rare and expensive. After this, they began to work on their next album, "Crowz", but finally got their major label contract, and dropped the attempt. Even though Crowz was never released, go to
black-goat.com
to dowload the whole album for free. If you have an Apple computer it will dowload straight to iTunes instanly. If you have a PC, then when it says "Do you want to run or save" Click save, then when it says do you want to "Open" or "Open File", choose "Open File", then click in the first thing that right under the iTunes symbol says PLAYLIST. Then iTunes will open, and all the songs will instantly go onto iTunes. FREE. It includes several songs from MFKR, and some new ones, and some rare live songs. My FAVORITE is Hate (simplified version), which is the last track (Number 16).
Back to history
Then came a battle of the bands competition, which Slipknot won, againsed their rival band Stone Sour. To move on, and get more famous, Slipknot needed a more "Radio friendly voice", so they told Stone Sour's Singer, Corey Taylor, "Join our band or we'll kick your ass!" So Taylor Joined. Then they got their major label contract, andrecruted guitarist Jim Root, also from stone sour. Then they have the line up that we know now.
