Check out the detailed description of how I made it (as well as other video game related projects I've done) here: http://ultra-awesome.blogspot.com/ Hello, I've been working on this for a few months now. A while ago I decided I was running out of room for many many videogames and their boxes etc. (I'm one of those fanatics who insists on having everything with original boxes). So I built this, to replace my current coffee table, it has space inside it to store game boxes etc. Made from MDF and painted with a variety of oil based and acrylic paints.

Videogames and force feedback have been fair-weather friends for years, from motorized steering wheels that go spastic when you slam into a wall, to entire seats that tilt and lurch as your F-16 banks out of harm's way. But playing with the Novint Falcon feels like nothing you've tried before. Classic Game Room HD reviews the original Playstation 1 controller, the old grey one without the dual analog sticks! This is the controller that came with your PS1 when you bought it back in 1995, 1996 or 1997... whenever you bought an original old school Playstation (the big, fat, ugly grey one like we had back in the day). The Sony PSone controller is legendary for its unique design, simplicity and ruggedness. Countless hours have been spent playing classic PS1 video games with it like Final Fantasy Tactics, Bushido Blade, Einhander, Final Fantasy 7 VII, Thunder Force V and the first and second Gran Turismo games. It is super light weight, easy to find and cheap as dirt today. This is a great look back at the history of video gaming from when the PS1 was brand new and crushing the market. CGRHD reviews the Playstation controller, add it to your favorites and then run out and play a PS1 game. Does not work with Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii.

Classic Game Room HD reviews the standard, single button, single joystick ATARI 2600 controller. This is the iconic controller that so many of us grew up with back in the 70's and 80's. These came with the Atari 2600 VCS video computer system over here in the United States of America. Durable, cheap and plentiful, you should have no problem finding one of these for sale extremely cheap. Works well with games like Mario Bros. Brothers on the Atari, Donkey Kong, Yars' Revenge, Frogger, Vanguard and Pac Man. You ain't cool unless you have one of these controllers. Nothing says I'm into old school retro awesome classic video games like breaking one of these things out at a party. You can even mix a cocktail with it.

Classic Game Room HD reviews the Wireless Guitar controller for Guitar Hero 3! Guitar Hero is one of the most popular games in the modern era because of its unique and fun gameplay enhanced with this amazing, well crafted guitar styled controller. Click the buttons, strum the button and play along to Aerosmith, Rage Against the Machine, The Scorpions and numerous other bands in Guitar Hero III. This review looks at the guitar controller for the Xbox 360 video game console, but Guitar Hero controllers are also available for PS3, Wii and PC. Which is better, the Xbox 360 version, PS3, Wii or PC? We don't cover that in this review, this review looks at the build quality, styling, construction and gameplay of this GH3 guitar by Red Octane. Red Octane designed this peripheral accessory so well that it is practically a classic video game legend today. As millions of people are eagerly awaiting Guitar Hero 4 we look at the Guitar Hero 3 guitar which can be played lefty or righty with some serious guitar rocking style. Although Classic Game Room is better at Frogger than Guitar Hero (and presumably we're better at Revenge of Shinobi than we will be at Guitar Hero 4) we're not the ones to learn how to play Guitar Hero, although you may learn to play by watching us use an NES controller to strum the guitar and an Atari 2600 controller to push the buttons. So check it out, a review of the plastic Gibson guitar shaped Guitar Hero III controller for Guitar Hero III. When we pick up GH4 we'll review any accessories or guitars for Guitar Hero 4, but until that time keep playing with this guitar and Guitar Hero III!

Modify Gakken Synthesizer (around $30!), and add controller. Only a ribbon controller comes with SX-150 of Gakken. So it is difficult to play a right pitch and interval with this musical instrument. Therefore I made a controller for SX-150. The panels of this controller are made in Lego. I used aluminum foil for a touch plate and designed it so that a relay switched it on/off by touching this aluminum foil with the electrode of the case which I had on a finger. The volume is connected to each relay, and the pitch that I set by the variable resistor is output by SX-150.

Classic Game Room HD reviews the mighty, mighty Sega Dreamcast controller for the Sega Dreamcast video game system. Sega's last foray into the gaming hardware market left us with an increble piece of machinery that sadly, failed to succeed in the markets of Japan, Europe and the United States for the long term. Although the Dreamcast has been discontinued echoes of the date 9/9/99 live on in the form of this full functional and very creative controller. Plug in your LCD screen VMU card and get ready for gaming action with an LCD screen..... so you can look at two screens at once. Does your Dreamcast screech and beep and make noise when starting up? That means your VMU batteries are dead. You can replace the battery (actually two 2303 batteries from Radio Shack) and the noises go away. Play awesome dreamcast games like Chu Chu Rocket, Test Drive Le Mans, Sword of the Berserk, Draconus, Sega GT, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, Mars Matrix, Crazy Taxi, Giga Wing and Shenmue with this controller. Go Sonic the Hedgehog, go!!! SEGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember how awesome those old Sega commercials were? Nobody can make a commercial with screaming like Sega could. SEGA... SEGA... SEGA... DREAMCAST!

Classic Game Room HD and Stella the Video Game Dog review the SEGA GENESIS controller for the 16-bit wonder, the Sega Genesis. This game console / system is one of the best gaming systems ever made. It's called the Megadrive or Mega Drive MD in many other parts of the world, but over here in 'da 'states we got the Genny! Rock solid construction, great ergonomics and well designed buttons make this controller a joy to play. Fire up games like Sonic the Hedgehog, Revenge of Shinobi, Golden Axe and Streets of Rage 1, 2 and 3. This controller handles them all with ease and asks for more.... more SEGA GENESIS that is!! The digital gamepad and standard 3 button layout is what most people got with their Genesis. You could also buy rapid fire and six button versions and joysticks, but this is my favorite. The Sega Genesis controller works with the Atari 2600 and Atari 7800 because they have the same plug configuration. I play all of my Atari reviews with a Genesis controller because it is my favorite. Does not work with a PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii... sadly.

Classic Game Room HD reviews the Atari 7800 gamepad controller for the Atari 7800 video game console. The Prosystem was not fortunate to get a pro level controller in North America.... however much of the rest of the world was very lucky and got this awesome Nintendo style game pad controller with two buttons and a digital thumb pad. The textured feel fits nicely into the hands and it plays games from the Atari 7800 and Atari 2600 with ease. I believe this is the controller that gamers in the UK, Europe and Australia received with their Ataris. Sucks for us, we got the dreated Atari 7800 US controller. Thie controller worked well for playing games like Xevious, Donkey Kong, Joust and Ms. Pac Man on the Atari 7800 Prosystem. You could also play 2600 titles like Enduro, Mario Bros., Combat and Adventure. Does not work on NES, PS3, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 or Wii.
