Now that I'm translating my favorite 200 Aznavour songs to French, I finally learned that Desormais is an angry, bitter song. I used to think it's a happy one because of it's upbeat tempo. One of the main reasons why I wanted to learn French was to understand Aznavour's lyrics. Even though I'm Armenian, I consider him to be a French singer. I'm grateful for France for giving us room to prosper in their country and contribute. This one Armenian song though is a cherry on top of Aznavour's repertoire.
