En este caso hemos considerado de suma importancia dar difusión a la injusta e ilógica ley conocida internacionalmente como BSL y en España mas como ley de PPP (Perros Potencialmente Peligrosos). BSL does not address these root causes behind dog attacks. It simply blames a particular breed or breeds without actually solving the real problem of irresponsible ownership and lack of education. BSL is illogical, expensive, and ineffective. Non-breed-specific dangerous dog laws and anti-cruelty laws are more effective, provided those laws are strongly written and firmly enforced. Increased education (especially for dog owners and children) will also help reduce dog bites/attacks, as will low-cost spay/neuter campaigns. We need more funding for animal control agencies to enforce the laws and tackle dog fighting. These strategies make sense. BSL is a wet bandaid.

"BSL - WHAT IS IT? Breed-specific legislation (BSL) is designed to place restrictions on ownership of certain breeds of dogs. Typically, the restricted breeds include pit bull-type dogs (usually vaguely defined), followed by Rottweilers. Other breeds may include German Shepherds, Chow Chows, Presa Canarios, Dobermans, Cane Corsos, Huskies, Boxers, and mixes of these. Breed-specific legislation creates a number of restrictions or regulations on any one breed. Owners of certain breeds of dogs may be required to: -Keep the dog muzzled in public -Purchase insurance for the dog -Keep the dog on its owner's property at all times (no trips to the park, the store, etc.) -Keep the dog in a specific enclosure at all times. The most common kind of breed-specific legislation completely bans all dogs of a certain breed. Breed specific legislation or BSL is a order that is in place is some places in the world that all pit bulls or supposed dangerous dogs must be taken away from their owners and be euthanized. No matter how friendly the dog is they are torn away from their owners and euthanized. It does not allow the supposed dangerous dogs in that area or they will be taken away and euthanized. BSL also targets any dogs that are have even a little part of the breed in them and those dogs are also euthanized. Even if the dog is not mixed with the dog if the dog looks like he/she is and the owner does not have papers to prove they are not a supposed 'dangerous dog' they will seize the dog. BSL or as many like to call it bull shit legislation which fits very well. They are taking away dogs from responsible owners and not paying attention to the abusive and neglectful owners that are the problem. While doing all this they are not stopping the real problem such as dog fighters. Austrailia - Restricts the importation of the Pit Bull Terrier, American pit bull terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentio, and the Brazilion Mastiff. -There is a stronger ban in Sydney that restricts the sale, acquisition, breeding or giving away of any of the aformentioned breeds. Britain - Restrictions on or prohibitation of ownership of American Pit bull terriers. - The dangerous dog act legislatively drafted legislatively drafted prohibitions for certain types of dogs; most notably pit-bull type dogs Canada - Restrictions on the ownership and a prohibitation on the breeding of pit bull type dogs (Staffordshire Bull terriers, American Staffordshire bull terriers, American pit bull terriers or any dogs similar in appearance) in Ontario.
