Baba Zula, one of my favorite bands, played a song in the movie Crossing the Bridge: The Sound of Istanbul. Wanting to use the poignant emotion of that song, I attempted to capture the beauty of Kaoru and Kenshin's relationship. Please watch, and enjoy.
Lyrics(Balkan)
Ben bir bülbül olsam ötsem bahçelerde
Her türkümde yaksam adını üzerine
Her sabah şakırım gülüm
Gülüm ninna ni na nay.
Her sabah şakırım gülüm
Gülüm ninna ni na nay...
Ben bir martı olsam uçsam denizlere
Rüzgarlara açsam giderim sehere
Her kanadımı çarpışta, gülüm ninna ne na nay.
Her kanadımı çarpışta, gülüm ninna ne na nay...

Lyrics [by Koukla on AllTheLyrics.com]
If only I'd be a nightingale and sing in the gardens
In each of my folk songs write your name on them
Every morning I warble my rose
If only I'd be a seagull, fly away over the seas
If I sailed into the wind, I'd reach the dawn
With every stroke of my wings
