The concert was given in celebration of the Hellenic Spirit (Olympic games 2004)." THELO NA THO " was inspired by a poem written by Greek American poet Dino Makropoulos.In 1997 Spiro & Dino met & this is one of the poems Spiro set music to.This time is presented in instrumental form with 2 themes one of masculine quality where violin & clarinet are juxtaposed & the other of lyrical quality where they both merge along with the cello.The piece is full of various meters 9/8 ,10/8,12/8 whereas the lyrical theme is a flowing 5/8..After a short orchestral iprov the lyrical theme is presented as female duet sung by sopranos Julie Ziavras & Eleni kalaitzidou who also plays the cello.
