The burning desire of Breakwell was always to find a way into the presence
of Abdu'l-Bahá. There was always a mysterious communion between Abdu'l-Bahá and Breakwell.
In a spiritual communication Abdu'l-Bahá perceived the Passing of Breakwell
and said to the Bahá'í Friends:
"Breakwell has passed away, I am grieved, very grieved. I have written
a prayer of visitation for him. It is very moving, so moving that twice I could not withhold my tears, when I was
writing it. You must translate it well,
so that whoever reads it will weep."
