Which HD cam is better? Sony HDR HC7(the love of my life) or Canon XH A1(the pro cam)?

This is some of the footage I have shot with my Canon XH A1 HDV camera. All footage is shot using native gamma, manual control, 24p, and no 35mm adapter (although I'm looking forward to getting my M2). For many of the shots I over exposed just a little to bring out the color. No color corection done in post, except for the shots where I use the limit effect (black, white, and yellow). Edited with Final Cut Pro on a Mac G5 Quad 3.0 Ghz, 2 GB RAM. Sorry for the camera shake, I didn't have a tripod. Song is "Smell of Yellow and Black" by Code Seven.

Hey everyone. This video just tests how I can take footage with the Canon XH-A1, import and time-remap it in After Effects, and edit it in Premiere Pro. Hope you like! View this video in High Definition: http://www.vimeo.com/667978 Process: The video footage was shot in 50i, then imported into After Effects so that the upper and lower fields of the interlaced footage could be seperated to become individual, whole frames. The footage was then time-remapped with a motion detector called 'Pixel Motion' in After Effects. The footage was exported and edited in Premiere Pro, with the audio edited in Audition. The footage has remained in HD every step of the editing process, until it was exported for YouTube and Vimeo. A flaw that time-remapping has is the occasional 'ghosting' that can appear, as seen around my arms. This is caused by fast movement which the 'Pixel Motion' detector cannot compensate 'intermediate frames' for, and tends to 'frame blend' sections of the image for those instances.

Canon XH-A1 HDV Camcorder mounted on Steadicam Merlin. Initial test. This is not intended as a display of the Merlin's full capabilities, but rather what you might expect from the Merlin "out of the box". The footage was shot a couple of hours after recieving the Merlin. I had no prior Steadicam experience. The Merlin was configured using "cookbook" settings. I was carrying the large travel case over my shoulder. The g-platz screw wasn't properly tightened on a couple of shots. quick no frills test of the Apefos 35mm Adapter and Canon XH-A1. No color correction, manual settings of 1/48 shutter with 2.4 iris with a canon 50mm1.8 outside and 50mm and a sigma28,2.8 then back to 50 inside. I left the sound on to demonstrate the small amount of noise from the adaptor vibration. Not bad. Will post next with some adjustments and a microphone. Just some more test-footage, but with more purpose (not willy-nilly around the house). Loving this camera to bits, seriously, so so so nice. You'll see the camera's ability to 'snap-focus' with its AF-assist chip, which sits right next to the camera lens. Hope you like! She was using her digital SLR, a Canon 40D and I had just received my Letus35 Extreme a day or two earlier and I was very eager to test it out with my Canon XHA1 video camera. We went out to horse country near here in the late afternoon/evening so we could catch some evening light. Rebecca took out her Canon 50mm f/1.4 prime lens and set off down the road, while I setup the camera, adapter, rails and a Canon 85mm f/1.8 along with my Libec LS 55M tripod. This is a "built" tripod (read that as heavy). So off I went lugging my rig over my shoulders (Not sure how anyone else does this).
