Religion my ass. They are con artists who hurt people and step on other people's Constitutional protections. If not, they would not keep getting arrested and exposed for the fraud that they are.
It's not right that people who the Westboro Baptist Church, WBC, hate, talk vile to, disturb, disrupt, bait, make fun of, disturb their peace, should have to pay their salaries. Not all of them but some of Fred's immediate children are working as employees for the Kansas Department of Corrections.
They have worked there for a number of years. How is it possible that the state finds it acceptable, knowing full well what their employees do outside of work, knowing the hate and hurt the Phelps employees do to people who have never bothered them or hurt them, to work for the prison system?
Furthermore, what in the name of all that is sane, how did they feel Margie Phelps is deserving of an Employee Award?
Since the WBC is so full of hate or promoting hate, death, toe tags, hurt, filthy mouths, protesting and hurting people trying to bury their dead, making fun of September 11, making fun of the people who have died, who have suffered, writing letters to Saddam admiring him, admiring Castro, being happy for the London bombings, how is it that the state of Kansas, the Department of Corrections feels they are fully competent people that are to be trusted with any alleged or convicted criminal or juvenile who needs REAL help from people who dont' say "Thank God for IEDs, thank God for DEAD soldiers, FAGS, GOD HATES, HATE, MAIMED SOLDIERS, etc... AND KANSAS FEELS THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS IS THE RIGHT PLACE TO EMPLOY THESE PEOPLE?
So, if the Phelps family, WBC, the haters are really "loving", helpful, decent people outside of protests, then how can anyone believe what they do is in the name of religion and not an angle? It would seem more like a part time hobby for them, not a religion or religious belief, which in turn shows they love media, love suing if they can promote an altercation, and are in reality, assumed to be con artists, grifters, money grubbing con men and women. Either way, how can they be trusted in such high positions within the Department of Corrections or working with criminals and alleged criminals in the first place? IT IS A CONFLICT OF INTEREST.
Thank you to the Patriot Guard Riders who always stand strong to help those who are momentarily crippled while the Westboro Baptist Church attacks them, makes fun of and laughs at their loved one being killed or maimed, making fun of the sacrifices, laughing at the heartache. The Patriot Guard Riders handle the situation for grieving and sad people in a legal and classy way. They have outsmarted the haters.
I would also like to say that for every protest that does not go well, that does not get that much publicity or views due to the Patriot Guard Riders blocking the views of the WBC and drowning out their hate and sickness, that it is also not financially benefiting to the members of the WBC once this happens (This really makes them mad because they love their money). They lose out on money the WBC has used for airline tickets, which adds up for 7 - 12 or more of them at a time, per protest.
When a person's credibility has been questioned or proven not to be believed, the members of Fred's family who work with offenders can easily make the offender's lives worse by doing things to them within the Department of Corrections, knowing full well that if that offender or victim complains about any wrong doing, the offender won't be believed, or the Phelps state employees have found a way to further abuse other people that are less likely to be believed, less likely educated enough to know how to fight back, etc. It's a potential for further abuse to other people from the WBC.
These are the people allowed to work with juvenile and adult offenders in the Department of Corrections and politicians don't seem to care.
