Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull performing "Aqualung" live in concert. Ian is a cut-up on stage, and Martin Barre shows he has some chops as a guitar player. Check out the crazy lighting!

Part 1 of 2 From the DVD: Nothing Is Easy 'Live at the Isle Of Wight 1970' It's finally up! I apologise to those who were waiting for the upload (i've been told it was 2 months! eek!) but I had my hands full with work and completely forgot about it. If that doesn't qualify as my explanation then the public beating will be held on the nearest thursday and will be transmitted live over all the global networks. Hope you enjoy that then :P Since it's too long for youtube standards (i'd love if they would make them at least a little bit higher. *sigh*), and it would be a waste to cut out even a tiny bit of the whole performance, I've tried to split it at the best possible moment. I hope I did a good job at it. But you all will let me know, won't you? ;) Enjoy. PART 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7tEATjqjFg

Jethro Tull - Living In The Past 1969 The single reached number three in the UK charts in 1969 Jethro Tull are a Grammy Award winning British rock band that formed in 1967-1968.[1] Their music is marked by the distinctive vocal style and lead flute work of front man Ian Anderson. Initially playing blues rock with an experimental flavour, they have, over the years, incorporated elements of classical, folk and 'ethnic' musics, jazz and art rock. Band Memners 1969-1970 Ian Anderson - lead vocals, flute, acoustic guitar Martin Barre - guitar, vocals Glenn Cornick - bass, vocals Clive Bunker - drums, percussion, vocals John Evan - keyboards, piano, vocals Lyrics: (Instrumental) Happy and I'm smiling, Walk a mile to drink your water. You know I'd love to love you, And above you there's no other. We'll go walking out While others shout of war's disaster. Oh, we won't give in, Let's go living in the past. (Instrumental) Once I used to join in Every boy and girl was my friend. Now there's revolution, but they don't know What they're fighting. Let us close our eyes; Outside their lives go on much faster. Oh, we won't give in, We'll keep living in the past. (Instrumental) Oh, we won't give in, Let's go living in the past. Oh no no we won't give in, Let's go living in the past. (Instrumental)

Thick As A Brick ---------------- 1/5 Really don't mind if you sit this one out. My words but a whisper -- your deafness a SHOUT. I may make you feel but I can't make you think. Your sperm's in the gutter -- your love's in the sink. So you ride yourselves over the fields and you make all your animal deals and your wise men don't know how it feels to be thick as a brick. And the sand-castle virtues are all swept away in the tidal destruction the moral melee. The elastic retreat rings the close of play as the last wave uncovers the newfangled way. But your new shoes are worn at the heels and your suntan does rapidly peel and your wise men don't know how it feels to be thick as a brick. And the love that I feel is so far away: I'm a bad dream that I just had today -- and you shake your head and say it's a shame. Spin me back down the years and the days of my youth. Draw the lace and black curtains and shut out the whole truth. Spin me down the long ages: let them sing the song. See there! A son is born -- and we pronounce him fit to fight. There are black-heads on his shoulders, and he pees himself in the night. We'll make a man of him put him to trade teach him to play Monopoly and to sing in the rain. The Poet and the painter casting shadows on the water -- as the sun plays on the infantry returning from the sea. The do-er and the thinker: no allowance for the other -- as the failing light illuminates the mercenary's creed. The home fire burning: the kettle almost boiling -- but the master of the house is far away. The horses stamping -- their warm breath clouding in the sharp and frosty morning of the day. And the poet lifts his pen while the soldier sheaths his sword. And the youngest of the family is moving with authority. Building castles by the sea, he dares the tardy tide to wash them all aside. --- Jethro Tull-Thick as a Brick, 1972. --- Pics.: Gilad Benari: "Sommer Love", "Orange Simplicity". http://orbesonoro.blogspot.com --- "A Passion Play" (J.
