Good news! Tara is doing well! If you remember 4 months ago, I vlogged about Tara, a young girl who grew up in the mainstream program and learned by oralism method was kicked out of her home by her adoptive parents and because of no resources in our area, she was put in a nursing home for old people. She's only 20 years old and she spent 8 months in a nursing home! Finally, Kathy Mutter got her out and found a way to get her green card, a new social security card and get her into the Virginia School for the Deaf in Staunton where she is very happy! Here's her Story!

For nearly two years, Tara Nicole Stout battled Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She faced her disease with grace, honesty, humor and courage. Tara shared much of her journey in this video. On September 26, 2007, Tara died. She was ten years old. Despite incredible advances in the treatment of childhood cancers, not every child survives. Tara's story reminds us that we must never rest until cures for this, and other diseases of childhood, are found. That is our responsibility to her and to all the children we serve. We honor Tara's memory and we thank her for giving us this extraordinary gift, Diary of Hope.

Below is a short description of Tara which I have taken off the net: Green Tara (Dölma) embodies the female wisdom and activity of the mind. She is also called the 'Mother of All Buddhas,' and has many peaceful and frightening or wrathful emanation forms. The legend of Tara's origin is that Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, was looking down from his heaven on the world of suffering beings, and he wept to see that more and more of them were in pain. From the tears streaming down his face two Taras were born, a peaceful white one from the left and a fierce green one from the right. Her attributes are light blue upala-flowers . She is adorned with jewels and precious cloth, sitting on a white moon-disk. Her right leg is outside the lotus flower, which symbolizes her continuous activity, alertness and her determination for quick active help. Her hands are in the gesture of granting protection and freeing from fears. As the first Dalai Lama put it, just by being called to help, she instantaneously saves the faithful from attacks by the following eight calamities : lions (pride); wild elephants (delusions); forest fires (hatred); snakes (envy); robbers (fanatical views); prisons (avarice); floods (lust); demons (doubts) The followers of Green Tara believe that her special powers will help overcome dangers, fears, and anxieties, and that she will grant wishes. She is compassion in action and is particularly worshiped for her ability to overcome the most difficult situations. This video was entered in the 2008 My Grammy Moment contest, and took Tara to the 2008 Grammys to play with the Foo Fighters! Each entrant had to play the first two lines of The Pretender by the Foo Fighters, and then improvise on the song for the remainder of the minute. (The video clip couldn't be longer than 60 sec) Tara was a Top 3 Finalist, and got to perform a short solo clip live on National Television before performing in the My Grammy Moment Orchestra with the Foo's! Oṃ Tāre Tuttāre Ture Svāhā / Om Tare Tuttare Ture Svaha Tara (whose name means "star" or "she who ferries across") is a Bodhisattva of compassion who manifests in female form. In Tibetan, Tara is known as "Dölma" (Sgrol-ma), or "She Who Saves." In particular she represents compassion in action, since she's in the process of stepping from her lotus throne in order to help sentient beings. Tara's mantra is a loving play on her name. According to Sangharakshita, a traditional explanation of the mantra is that the variations of her name represent three progressive stages of salvation. 1. Tāre represents salvation from mundane dangers and suffering. Tara is seem as a savioress who can give aid from material threats such as floods, crime, wild animals, and traffic accidents. 2. Tuttāre represents deliverance into the spiritual path conceived in terms of individual salvation. In traditional terms, this is the path of the Arhant, which leads to individual liberation from suffering. This is seen in Mahayana Buddhism as a kind of enlightenment in which compassion does not figure strongly. 3. Lastly, ture represents the culmination of the spiritual path in terms of deliverance into the altruistic path of universal salvation - the Bodhisattva path. In the Bodhisattva path we aspire for personal enlightenment, but we also connect compassionately with the sufferings of others, and strive to liberate them at the same time as we seek enlightenment ourselves. Svaha, according to Monier Monier-William's Sanskrit Dictionary, means: "Hail!", "Hail to!" or "May a blessing rest on!" Her mantra can therefore be rendered as something like "OM! Hail to Tara (in her three roles as a savioress)!" although this may one of those occasions when the mantra is best left untranslated.

Only two biggest-hits with together "Hold You Tight" (her first successful smash-hit) for this prominent artist, but with a short career as singer. Enjoy! About Tara Kemp.- Tara Leslye Kemp (born May 11, 1970 in Livermore, California) is an American pop and R&B singer. She best known for releasing the single entitled, "Hold You Tight" in 1991. This single, written by singer-songwriter Will Hammond Jr., went gold and reached the number 3 spot on Billboard's Hot 100. It was followed with yet another Top 10 single entilted, "Piece of My Heart," which reached number 7. Tara's quick success was soon eclipsed after her third single, "Too Much," stalled at number 95. Tara Kemp also recorded a song called "Action Speaks Louder Than Words," which was featured on the soundtrack for the FOX TV series, "Beverly Hills 90210." Released "Come Correct" in 1994. Tara Kemps' career ended before it even got a fair chance to grow. It was through her mutual connections with Giant Records and Big Beat records that she got her first record deal in 1990. Former KMEL-jock Hosh Gureli introduced her first single, Hold Tight, to the San Francisco area with immediate success. The follow-up single Piece of my heart did almost as well but with a third single release from the album, Too much, numbers began to drop.
