I went to the Burj Dubai and filmed the construction and then again six months later. 66 to 124 floors in six months! The Burj Dubai tower is designed to be the centerpiece of a large-scale, mixed-use development that will include 30,000 homes, nine hotels, 6 acres of parkland, 19+ residential towers, the Dubai Mall, and a large man-made lake. The complete 500 acre development will cost about $20 billion dollars (US). Once completed, the tower will cover a total of over 22 million square feet of development. The official height of the Burj Dubai is kept secret because of international competition, but current estimates have it rising to a height in excess of 2,600 feet. Some estimate that it will be 189 floors or so - it is to be the tallest building in the world. Recently, the construction site already surpassed height needed to make it (uncompeted) the second tallest building in the world. The Burj Dubai is located in Dubai which is a city in the emirate of Dubai, part of the United arab Emirates in the Gulf region of the Middle East. Radar is featured in the Guiness Book of World Records as the world's tallest living horse. He is a Belgian Draft Horse that stands 19 hands 3.5 inches (6'7.5" at the withers) and weighs over 2,400lbs. He is a gelding born in 1998 and eats 18lbs of grain, 40lbs of hay, and drinks 20 gallons of water each day. Video is a bit shaky because I had tried to steady the camera on the bars of the restraining fence, which people were leaning on. Bad idea. :P

Incredible footage of the second tallest building ever imploded! LANDMARK TOWER (formerly Continental National Bank & The Texas Building) - 200 W. 7th St. - 1952; 1956/57 - Imploded March 18, 2006. At the time of demolition, it was the Second Tallest Building in the World to be Imploded by Controlled Demolition, Tallest Building in the State of Texas to Be Imploded, and the Tallest Building in the State of Texas to be Demolished. It was also the first time in Fort Worth's History that a former tallest building in the city was torn down. The Landmark Tower was 30 stories and 380 feet tall. At one time, it had the World Largest Digital Clock, Revolving Clock, and 4 Sided Sign. It also had one of the longest straight run fire escapes at 31 floors from the main roof to the ground. The world's tallest current and future skyscrapers. I've been a fan of buildings since my earliest years and always had books about the tallest of the tall and legos to give it a shot myself. I have been a bit out of the loop, but with recent "supertalls" popping up everywhere, i decided to get back into it and compile a video about them. Note: Spires count, Antennas do not. Future buildings are only included, if groundbreaking has occurred. The Abraj Al Bait Towers are just too odd to get a spot in this, maybe later when the final shape emerges :) Sorry for the occasionally jerky motion, but YT converted the video down from 30 to 25fps which probably causes juddering.
