Inevitable little surface noise of this a bit worn out 78 rpm disc will introduce us to the sounds recorded ...75 years ago: great hit "Autumn Roses", tango which has been sung and hummed in Poland until now and was a great success of a young artist at that time, Mieczysław Fogg; actually did open his lasting long years vocal career (a reverse side of this record -- "Melodja" !). The tango, composed by Artur Gold who, in my opinion, had a special skill for creating melodious songs and music and belongs (together with Zygmunt Karasiński) to the group of my favourite Polish composers of the time.
