This years Royal Norfolk Show was fit for a Prince as thousands crammed the routes to the Costessey-based showground. There was a special reason why people wanted to get there early, popular Prince Harry was attending his first agricultural show to mark the centenary of the granting of the royal charter.
Celebrities attending included local Hollywood Star, Melita Morgan that recently had her debut film premiere, Mister Lonely, at Cinema City in Norwich. This time Melita was wearing her equestrian hat to support her love for animal rights and her region in general. "It's a real pleasure to be here" said Melita "I have been working with horses long before I entered my acting career and the Royal Norfolk Show has a special place in my heart"
Melita's friend Sam Kemp and her horse, Famous Shamus, also made an appearance in one of the heats so she had a special reason to be there. It wasn't just the horses that were on display, prize winning cattle, livestock, hens and rabbits were surrounded by farm experts and hundreds of enthusiastic families wanting to catch a glimpse of everything.
Other highlights included the RAF Falcons parachute display team, the Bolddog Lings Freestyle Motocross and the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery.
