Los Gatos Salvajes fueron los pioneros en Argentina en escribir temas propios de rock en Castellano. Formados en la Ciudad de Rosario, Pcia. de Santa Fé en 1963 bajo el nombre de "Wild Cats" interpretaban covers de twist y rock de interpretes extranjeros, pero en 1964 se les une el adolescente Lito Nebia de tan solo 15 años, quien ya escribía sus propias canciones al mejor estilo del "Mercey Beat" Ingles, adoptando a partir de entonces la banda su propio estilo, con actuaciones en bailes, programas de radio, cine y TV, hasta la disolución del grupo en 1966. Luego Lito Nebbia y Ciro Fogliatta continuan unidos, y en 1967 fundan el primer grupo popularmente masivo del Rock Argentino: Los Gatos, pero esa es otra historia. Los días 29 y 30 de Julio del 2005, todos los miembros originales de los Gatos Salvajes se reunieron en el Teatro Ateneo de Buenos Aires para celebrar los 40 años de aquel primitivo grupo. Los integrantes de Los Gatos Salvajes son Lito Nebbia en voz y guitarra ritmica, Ciro Fogliatta en organo y piano, "Chango" Puebla en la 1° guitarra, Guillermo Romero en el bajo y "Tito" Adjaiye en la Batería. Desde su separación en el año 1966 no se habian vuelto a encontrar, pero para ellos estos 40 años parace que fue ayer. Del comienzo de esta banda solo se conserva en video un fragmento de "La Respuesta" (ya subido), asi que creo vale la pena disfrutar de esta excelente reunión.
