From History Channel's great show Dogfights, Hunt for the Bismark episode. Once upon a time, the German ship the Bismark was the biggest baddest ship to sail the seven seas until it met its fate at the hands of Her Magesty's Royal Navy. This clip shows Swordfish pilot John "Jock" Moffat who delivered the torpedo hit that crippled the Bismark's rudder which helped ensure it's destruction. Truly one of the great episodes of WW2. I visited Moffat Tunnel at Winter Park, Colorado in October 1987. I found a track speeder there and soon a DRGW "Rio Grande" mixed freight with 5 GP-40's in the lead. This is the west portal of Moffat Tunnel at the Winter Park Ski Resort, destination of Rio Grande's Ski train during winter months. The railroad is now owned by Union Pacific.

This is a very long video, because it shows two long coal trains in their entirety. I went to Moffat Tunnel East Portal in Colorado to see what was going on, and met two westbound empty coal trains charging into the 6.2 mile long tunnel.
