There are a lot of home based business opportunities online. They range from vitamins to vacation memberships to e-books and more. Although the products may vary, the compensation plans are pretty much similar. Since many may brag on the difference here is a break down of several opportunities and their compensation plans. 1) 1-up/2-up programs: The 1-up/2-up compensation is based on each member who joins gives their first one or two sales up to the up line member who introduced them to the program. Thus the name one up, you give one up or in some programs two. After this the member is able to then receive full payments from each person who joins their program. One of the most popular 2-up program is Passport To Wealth. Passport to Wealth is still a pretty young company but making a lot of headway. Although many people enjoy the products of Passport to Wealth, the 2 up compensation has been a draw back for many members. Giving up your first to sales has not been a favorite among home based business entrepreneurs. 2) Modified 2-up compensation plan: The modified 2-up is pretty much similar to the 1-up/2-up plan with one slight change. Instead of the member giving up 100% of first 2 sales, they would split the sale with their up line member. After they have satisfied this the member would then receive 100% of all sales. Popular modified 2-ups are Cruise to Cash, Big Ticket to Cash and EDC Gold. These all use the modified 2-up compensation plan. Many enjoy this type of compensation due to them making money right away. An additional downfall in this type of compensation is you still have to pay something to the member who brought you in the program even after your initial membership fee. 3) Direct Sales: Direct sales have been around the longest and have pretty much stayed consistent in its form. As a member of a direct sales organization, you would purchase a product for a certain price. You would then sell that same product and receive a commission on each sale you made. With Global Resorts Network, you are able to make money off the sale of the product as well as off of each member you personally sold to. With this you make a great income off of your work and the work of your team as a whole. Downside, if you cannot sell you will starve. Direct sales requires you to be able to directly sell a product. Unless there is some skill in this area, many will fail. 4) MLM Level Payouts: Although every multi-level marketing program boasts their compensation plan, one thing that is for certain is the premise of its structure. MLM's all are based on making a small amount on everyone in your down lines work. Thus if the program pays out $1 on each person a member introduces and also $1 on each person that new member introduces. Once this goes 4 or 5 levels deep the original member can make some great money. Down side of this is the work involved in recruiting. 2 levels deep at each person introducing 5 will only yield $30 (5 + (5x5)) = 25. Thus to get to a great deal of money, it would need to get to about 6 to 9 levels deep. This pretty hard to do. The Berry Tree actually took this type of program and modified it to work on the behalf of all its members. They actually have put in to receive a patent on their plan as well. There are several other compensation plans as well. Perpetual Pipeline System has their own company specific compensation plan as well as many others. Perpetual Pipeline System pays you on each sale and the sale of the person underneath. Perpetual Pipeline system is still one of several other company specific compensation plans on the internet.
