EDI, the Extreme Deep Invader, is supposed to soon replace all human stealth pilots in the air force. So it's pretty obvious that the humans aren't very happy with this flying computer.
I made this video with the idea that the human pilots aren't happy that EDI is taking their job, and they aren't going to take it anymore. I think it fits really well together. This video was also made on my new computer, especially ordered to not freeze up on me like my old one usually does when I make videos, so I can do a lot more with timing and stuff.
About the Movie:
I wouldn't be surprised if you've never seen this movie, since it was one of the biggest box office bombs in history. I think it's a decent movie, and since it has the whole talking computer like KITT and HAL, I practically have to like it. :)
The story is EDI, a computer integrated into fictional stealth plane called a F/A-37 Talon, is built to replace human pilots, supposedly to save human lives. But the human pilots are mad about this. After a training session with EDI, they come back in the middle of a lightning storm and EDI just happens to get struck by lightning, thus altering his programing and leading to the inevitable battle between man and machine.
But at the end of the movie, one of the human pilots named Ganon and EDI strike a truce in order to save another one of their team. In the end, EDI proves his selflessness and sacrifices himself to save the two human pilots.
And of course, there's a cliffhanger after the credits of EDI lying in ruins, but with his lights still on, so he theoretically didn't 'die.'
So, back to my video. I really like this one, because I both like the song and the movie. I tried to match the lyrics with the video a bit, so listen to the words too. Enjoy!
