Padmini was born to a middle-class Maharashtrian Konkani family in 1965. Her father was a Classical Singer and her mother held a job working for the Airlines, whom hailed from a place called Ganguli (near Kundapur). Her father's first cousins are singers Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle, and as a child was in the chorus for some of their songs. It was Asha Bhosle who suggested Padmini's name to Dev Anand who then cast the then ten-year-old in Ishq Ishq Ishq (1975). This led to other films, such as Dreamgirl (1978), Zingagi, Saajan Bina Suhagan (1978), etc. Her mother quit her airlines job to be a full-time chaperone as Padmini picked up more roles. Her most famous child role was playing Zeenat Aman as a child in Raj Kapoor's film Satyam Shivam Sundaram (1977). The memorable song "yashomati maiye se" was picturized on her, with playback singing done none other than by her relative Lata Mangeshkar. The success of that song led to her most controversial role in Insaaf Ka Tarazu (1980), remake of Lipstick (film) (1976), where she played the rape victim that was originally played by Mariel Hemingway. She became a household name and earned the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award. She also graduated to heroine roles at seventeen in Nasir Hussain's Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai opposite Rishi Kapoor. The film flopped, but she reunited with Rishi Kapoor for his father Raj Kapoor's film Prem Rog (1982). The film earned her a Filmfare Best Actress Award. She also earned a special acting award for Ahista Ahista (1982 film). Padmini was known for her professionalism and diligence. She even worked when she had a fever on Do Dilon ki Dastaan. She had more box office hits, such as Vidhaata (1982) and Souten (1983). She had a huge hit with Pyar Jhukta Nahin (1985) with Mithun Chakraborty, and they were paired together in several more films. She fell in love with producer Tutu Sharma after he cast her in Aisa Pyar Kahan. They married and she retired from films at the tender age of 22. She has a son with him named Priyank.. After her son grew up, she returned to acting in 2004, such as for the Marathi film Manthan. She has also acted in new films such as Eight (film).. She was set to play the role of Tulsi Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi after Smriti Irani left but then the role was offered to Gautami Kapoor.

Film: Yeh Ishq Nahin Aasaan Music: Laxmikant Pyarelal Playback Singer: Anwar Lyrics: Anand Bakshi This song is one of my all time favourite sung by bollywood playback singer Anwar Hussain. Anwar rose to prominence in the hindi playback industry because of the uncanny resemblance of his voice with that of Mohammad Rafi arguably the finest bollywood (male) playback singer to date. Anwar has received personal praise and accolade from RAFI and Manna DEY.

MUDDAT(1986) Mithun Chakraborty Jayapradha Padmini Kolhapure Rajesh Puri Shakti Kapoor Director: K. Bapaiah Producer: Firoz Nadiadwala Mithun Chakraborty (born Gouranga Chakraborty June 16, 1950) is a National Film Award-winning Indian film actor as well as social activist. Chakraborty made his acting debut with the arthouse drama Mrigaya (1976), for which he won his first National Film Award for Best Actor. In his heyday during the 1980s, he had earned a huge fan following as a dancing star, and went on to establish himself as one of the most popular and leading actors of India in the 80s, particularly recognised for his role of street dancer Jimmy in the 1982 hit, Disco Dancer. Altogether Chakraborty has appeared in more than 200 Bollywood films as well as a number of Bengali and Bhojpuri films. In addition to acting, he is the owner of chain hotels, known as Monarch Hotels. He was born in Calcutta, West Bengal, and educated at the Scottish Church College, Calcutta, from where he earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry (B.Sc). After that he attended and graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India. It is a little known fact that Mithun was a staunch Naxalite before entering the film industry. But tragedy struck his family when his only brother got accidentally electrocuted and killed in a freak accident. Mithun returned to his family and left the Naxalite fold, even though doing so meant a grave risk to his own life from the Naxalites, because this was considered a one-way road (it was an unwritten law somewhat like an Omerta, that one could not abandon the Naxalite cause once it had been embraced). This proved to be a turning point in his life and became one of the prime causes that led to his iconic status. Another lesser known fact is that he had undergone expert training in martial arts. Mithun is married to Indian actress Yogita Bali and has four children, three sons and one daughter. The eldest son, Mimoh Chakraborty is an actor in Bollywood, who made his debut in the 2008 film Jimmy. Numerous sources claim that Chakraborty had a relationship with actress Sridevi from 1986 to 1987, and that Sridevi ended the relationship when she found out that he had not divorced his first wife, Yogita Bali. Chakraborty and Sridevi were believed to have been secretly married and that the union was later annulled.[1] Mithun made his film debut in the 1976 Mrinal Sen directed film Mrigaya for which he won the coveted National Film Award for Best Actor. After his debut he played some supporting roles in films such as Do Anjaane (1976) and Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan (1977) which did not gain him any recognition. He shot into prominence in the late 1970s with the low budget Ravikant Nagaich directed spy film Surakshaa (1979) and the early 1980s with leading roles in hit films such as Hum Paanch (1980) and Wardaat (1981) (a sequel to Surakshaa). His breakthrough role finally came in the musical drama Disco Dancer (1982) which was a huge success due to its hit music and remains a cult favourite to this day. This film and other musical films such as Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki (1984) and Dance Dance (1987) showcased him as a talented dancer. He also starred in a number of successful romantic and family dramas during the 1980s, such as Mujhe Insaaf Chahiye (1983), Pyaar Jhukta Nahin (1985), Swarg Se Sunder (1986), and Pyaar Ka Mandir (1988). These films remain his most commercially successful films to date.[2] He was widely recognised as an action hero in hit films like Wanted (1983), Boxer (1984), Jagir (1984), Jaal (1986), Watan Ke Rakhwale (1987) Commando (1988), Waqt Ki Awaaz (1988), Guru (1989), Mujrim (1989) and Dushman (1990). During the mid 1980s he was regarded as a rival to Amitabh Bachchan as he did dozens of films in the action and drama genre that showcased him as an angry young man at odds with the ills of society and corruption. This characterization was similar to Bachchan's one. Likewise, he has worked with some of the biggest actresses of his time and Bollywood in general, like Zeenat Aman, Padmini Kolhapure, Rati Agnihotri, Rekha, Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit and more. Mithun achieved not only commercial success but also tremendous critical acclaim. His performances in Tahader Katha and Swami Vivekananda, were widely appreciated and won him National Film Awards. He also won two Filmfare awards: The Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for his performance in the 1990 film Agneepath, and the Filmfare Best Villain Award for his performance in Jallad. Apart from it, he was praised for his performances in films like Pyaar Ka Mandir (1988) and Mujrim (1989). .

Rajendra Kumar (20 July 1929 - 12 July 1999) was an Indian movie actor, who acted in Bollywood films and was one of the most successful actors in the 1960s and 1970s. He also produced several films in the 1980s starring his son Kumar Gaurav. Rajendra Kumar made his debut in the 1950 film Jogan in which he starred opposite Dilip Kumar and Nargis. He was then shot to fame in the blockbuster hit Mother India in 1957 in which he played Nargis's son. His first major success as a romantic leading man was in Vijay Bhatt's musical superhit Goonj Uthi Shehnai (1959), co-starring Ameeta. The 1960s saw Rajendra Kumar rise like no other star had risen, except the first Superstar Rajesh Khanna, and there was a time when every film starring him was a silver jubilee hit. There were times when he had six or seven films running in their silver jubilee weeks at the same time. It was a success that was unbelievable and Rajendra Kumar was soon known as "Jubilee Kumar". He had many successful box office hits including Dhool Ka Phool (1959), Mere Mehboob (1963), Sangam (1964), Arzoo (1965), Suraj (1966) and Ganwaar (1970). He received Filmfare Nominations as Best Actor for Dil Ek Mandir (1963), Ayee Milan Ki Bela (1964), Arzoo (1965), and as Best Supporting Actor for Sangam (1964). He was considered a golden boy for the movie producers in the sense that he was the actor who could recover the producers' money in a matter of few weeks. However, the mid-1970s proved devastating for Rajendra Kumar. Several of his films bombed at the box office, and he was not getting the offers he used to receive earlier. It was the bleakest point in his career as he said in an interview. However, the sunshine came when he was offered an interesting role in the film Saajan Bina Suhaagan opposite Nutan. The film was a huge blockbuster of 1978. Rajendra Kumar had regained his 'Midas Touch'. He then switched from leading roles and played many character roles in the late 1970s and 1980s. In 1981 Rajendra introduced his son Kumar Gaurav in the film Love Story which he produced, directed and also starred in. The film was declared the blockbuster of 1981. But the success was shortlived as Kumar Gaurav's later films were huge disappointments at the box office and his son's career declined as soon as it began. Rajendra produced several other films starring his son which did not do well. In 1986 he produced Naam with his son and his son's brother-in-law Sanjay Dutt in leading roles which was a box office success but the success was shortlived. His last attempt to revive his son's career was with the 1993 film Phool where he once again acted alongside his son but this film was also a box office failure. Rajendra appeared in only a few films after this and his last film appearance was a minor role in Deepa Mehta's critically acclaimed film Earth in 1998. He died on July 12, 1999 of cancer only 8 days before his 70th birthday. He was known to never have taken medicines in his entire life. Rajendra Kumar was born in Sialkot, in the West Punjab province of British India, currently in Pakistan. He married Shukla and had a son Kumar Gaurav also an actor and two daughters. His son married Namrata Dutt, the daughter of actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis and sister of actor Sanjay Dutt. Rajendra had acted with Sanjay's father and mother Sunil Dutt and Nargis in the blockbuster film Mother India (1957) where both Sunil Dutt and Rajendra Kumar played natural son's of Nargis.
