Let me start off by saying...
I am more than a business phone technician. When I work, my job title (Vice President) requires me to represent the corporation. I bid proposals for large and small projects. I sell, install, and program phone equipment as well as servicing customers to satisfaction. I loyally give, from my trade experience, my opinions and suggestions to my customers. Unfortunately I know most of my peers in my industry express to be pompous and above pulling communication cables on a job-site which does require more physical labor than the entrepreneurial position and title I was elected and achieved. However there are some few truly loyal technicians out there who'll go above and beyond their duty to complete a project. I admire that quality in them! They express good pride in their work and it shows.
This is the Bank of America Cat. 6 cabling job video series I want to start producing. I want to try to make these videos and film the way a project goes smoothly AND when issues arise and how they go wrong. I'll show my work and efforts as if you were there along with me. I will be honest, it is amateur filming & editing but if you want to see what it's like running low voltage cabling for the communications industry, watch my videos. I would like to encourage you to comment and critique. Please express your opinions in any form. I'll try to show you what it's like when you get on a job and there's more to the work on the job then expected. I'll show you what is done when things go wrong and what efforts are done to solve them.
In no way am I trying to point out who is or should be at fault when issues arise on a job. As any tradesman knows there are no perfect job projects that are completed without a single problem, especially when there are many sub-contractors involved. I hope to bring "reality video" because it's great video footage when you get to watch other people struggle when challenged with issues. But it's always amazing and gratifying to watch the efforts and creativeness that's involved when someone is faced with a situation that seems impossible to accomplish and works with full determination and solves them!
Unfortunately, this night there was not a solution.
Watch and enjoy!
