This is the very familiar 1980's/1990's HBO intro. I captured this in 1997 shortly before HBO stopped using this magnificent opening. The original composer of the music is FERDINAND J. SMITH III. I wish HBO would bring this back. Contact them here: http://www.hbo.com/corpinfo/faq/generalfaq.shtml

Some scenes put together showing the death of Niobe in the last episode of the first Rome season. A VERY tragical scene with fantastic acting. I cut out the scenes of Atia and Servilia and of the murder of Julius Caesar. Brilliant series. Check out my video of the murder of Julius Caesar.
HBO music intro 1983. This one came from the Little River Band concert. It's a bit shorter than the movie intro. I also have the "making of" video posted. Check it out.

HBO Feature Presentation Intro
Apparently composed by Ferdinand J. Smith and shown throughout the mid 80s at the start of a HBO feature presentation.
This version has the correct original music but is not the longest version.
The longest version begins by showing a family preparing to watch television in their living room.
This version begins by bringing the viewer through some clouds then down into the city.
There is an even shorter version that excludes the city altogether.
This particular clip is apparently a VHS tape recording that was restored by Jermaine Schex for www.americantelevisionpreservation.com
The video is alright (compared to other clips on the web) but the sound is pretty much terrible.
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and other members of the cast are interviewed. HBO takes us behind the scenes on the fifth Harry Potter movie.
