This is a video that shows an employee at a thrift store in Adelphi stealing.
1) You will see her "helping" a customer with rings. She is the Bangladesh girl dressed in a purple shirt and trying on rings.
Note: You can be fired for trying on jewelry, when I was interviewing employees I found out that they consider this shopping. Her job is not to try on jewelry, as you see in the video there are already two employees helping the customers, so why is she trying on rings? Her job is to help the cashiers when they have problems i.e. a cashier supervisor and not to be in the jewelry showcase.
2) You will see her reach over with her right hand and grab a ring from the black tray, she will then point outside with the same hand, as if she sees someone.

3) You will then see her leave the showcase section, place the ring in her LEFT hand and then put it on her RIGHT hand and walk outside.
4) She then re-enters the store, she looks around to see if anyone saw her and then acts as if nothing happened and then starts trying rings on her LEFT hand.
Note: Later that day it was noticed that an expensive ring was missing. Once again they tried to cover it up. This is not the first time she has stolen something.
5) The manager that caught her showed the video to the GM and two other managers. Once viewed, three of the managers and the GM agreed that there was a theft. The GM notified the owner and he said to fire her. The GM tried to save her, but the video does not lie.
Note: If you caught someone stealing would you fire the employee?
6} The manager who caught her was transferred to another store (In October 2007) that is located on New Hampshire Ave, not to far away from the Adelphi store. The plan was to fire him.
7) The GM replaced the manager in Adelphi with someone else and told her and the cleaning person to get rid of any evidence of the theft that was left. My Washington, DC office was called and the video was mailed to me. After viewing the video I went to the store and interviewed numerous employees from both the morning and evening shifts.
8) Two months after, the transferred manager was fired and four months after that the Bangladesh girl was rehired (March-April 2008)but she went to the New Hampshire Ave. store.
The GM who rehired her lied to the owner and said that the video was two blurry and said "you can not tell if she was stealing"...But you can look at the video and tell that it is a lie.
Note: This employee has told many lies.
Lie #1 She said that she was putting on her wedding ring (You can see she got a ring from the tray and then put it on her finger, then she re-enters the building and tries rings on her left hand without removing a ring from that hand).
Lie #2 She said that a small child fell outside and she went to help the mother.(If this is true why did she take a ring from the tray).
Lie #3 She said she was helping one of the cashiers with money (This is lie, they just opened the store there were no sales, second, why would you go outside to help a cashier).
This person should be fired again, this video clearly shows a theft. For all you people who watch this video please know that all Bangladesh people do not steal they are a very loving people who are hard workers and I feel sorry that she is trying to bring them down.
I thank all the employees I interviewed at the store and those who called me for cooperating with me in this investigation.
Let everyone know you have seen the video. She must be fired before the General Managers try to move her to another store or maybe back to the Adelphi store.
