http://www.wegame.com : Make your own machinima at WeGame.com. Associate Professor Evil has no use for the key to the city of Orgrimmar, and so he and Barnaby must come up with a new plan to harness great power! This movie placed second in the Action / Adventure category during the Blizzcon 2007 Machinima Contest. Here are the lyrics to the credits song: http://oxhornbrand.blogspot.com/2007/08/movie-associate-professor-evil-kills.html Here is the movie script: http://oxhornbrand.blogspot.com/2007/08/script-associate-professor-evil-kills.html Here is my account of Blizzcon 2007: http://oxhornbrand.blogspot.com/2007/08/oxhorns-blizzcon-2007-adventure.html Note: I have received a bit of confusion concerning my mention of Mark Jacobs in the movie. Some think that when the gold farmer said that Jacobs sucks that I think Jacobs sucks, which is not the case at all. I like Mark Jacobs. I had a gold farmer say that; and Associate Professor Evil slapped him for doing so. I played Dark Age of Camelot for nearly two years and loved every moment of it, so I have great respect for Mark Jacobs and his stance on gold farming. Which is why I had the shout-out in the movie. It is only natural that gold farmers would hate him though, which is why my character said what he did. But he got his just rewards! Douglas Christiansen is Vanderbilt University's associate provost for enrollment and dean of admissions. He's spent the last 20 years in admissions leadership roles in both public and private universities. Now he's using his expertise to give students practical advice on what they can do to get into the right college, in hopes of clearing some of the mystery and misconceptions surrounding the admissions process. In a series of short and direct video clips, Christiansen tackles questions such as, "How should I prepare for my college essay—what if I'm not the greatest writer?" "My parents have decent jobs, but we haven't saved much for college. What are my chances of getting financial aid?" "As an admissions insider, what tips can you give to help me sound my best in my application?" Christiansen also talks about when extracurricular activities can actually hurt an applicant and how to ease the stress surrounding the admissions process.

Michael Cremo is a member of the History of Science Society, the World Archeological Congress, the Philosophy of Science Association, the European Association of Archaeologists and a research associate in history and philosophy of science for the Bhaktivedanta Institute. After receiving a scholarship to study International Affairs at George Washington University, Michael began to study the ancient histories of India known as the Vedas. In this way, he has broadened his academic knowledge with spirituality from the Eastern tradition. Michael is on the cutting edge of science and culture issues. In the course of a few months time he might be found on pilgrimage to sacred sites in India, appearing on a national television show in the United States or another country, lecturing at a mainstream science conference, or speaking to an alternative science gathering. As he crosses disciplinary and cultural boundaries, he presents to his various audiences a compelling case for negotiating a new consensus on the nature of reality. Cremo commented on a recent fossil skull discovery which suggests that Homo erectus may not have evolved from Homo habilis, as previously thought. What is not being reported, is that humans just like us, also co-existed with these early peoples, he said. As he crosses disciplinary and cultural boundaries, he presents to his various audiences a compelling case for negotiating a new consensus on the nature of reality. Cremo discussed evidence for extreme human antiquity and also presented his thesis that human life has devolved from a higher state. Ancient Sanskrit from India speaks of prior human civilizations dating back much further than current science supposes. Cremo has sought physical evidence to bear this out, among which is the pictured round hematite objects with parallel grooves that have been dated to 2 billion years ago. Found in a mine in South Africa, the 1-2 inch spheres might have been game pieces, he theorized. Other objects include a coin found in an Illinois well that could be between 200,000 to 400,000 years old, and a small stone sculpture of a female figure found 300 ft. down in an Ohio layer, two million years old. Ancient Sanskrit texts write of long cycles that end in devastation, and the number of these correlate with modern paleontology's six great extinction events, he noted. Cremo has flipped Darwin's theory that humans evolved from simpler life forms upside down. Citing ancient wisdom sources, he suggested that more sophisticated or advanced beings were here first and they produced simpler life forms themselves. Stephan Schwartz, Research Associate, of Cognitive Sciences Laboratory of the Laboratories for Fundamental Research, is one of the world's experts on the practical applications of remote viewing and other aspects of extraordinary human functioning. For almost twenty years he was the research director and chairman of the Mobius Society. The laboratory carried out research into remote viewing, creativity, therapeutic intent, and other areas of human performance. Stephan is the Editor of "The Schwartz Report," an international daily web publication. He is a former Special Assistant for Research and Analysis to the Chief of Naval Operations, Editor of Seapower Magazine, and staffer of National Geographic Society. He is a founder of the Society for Anthropology of Consciousness, the International Remote Viewing Association, and the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine, and is a member of the Parapsychology Association. Schwartz discussed his work on non-locality, consciousness and remote viewing. Evidence shows that some part of our consciousness exists outside of time/space, he said, and all consciousness is interconnected and interdependent. This connectivity allows for morphogenic fields to be created, he added. It was Edgar Cayce's "distant viewing" of the Dead Sea Scrolls (before their discovery) that first got Schwartz interested in remote viewing. As developed in the 1970s, remote viewing, which he described as a kind of "mental yoga," provides information that can be independently validated. Moments of religious ecstasy, genius, and remote viewing are all similar experiences, but they are modulated by their context and intention, he explained. My friend and former Disney associate, Dr. Randy Pausch delivers his farewell lecture at Carnegie Mellon University. Probably the last public speech he will give. The 46-year-old professor and father of three preschoolers has incurable pancreatic cancer. Yet, Randy did not focus on impending death. Instead, he celebrated the chance he had been given to live the life he always had dreamed of. An inspiring talk that should be shared. This video is from the Post-Gazette's web site.
