It is interesting, that the video shows numerous beginners (followed by more advanced students) playing, so encouraging other people who intend to learn with the book and video, in a positive way.
The method itself has numerous small units, each of which treats "a scale (...) and some musical works (folk songs, etc.)" in a specific key. (C, G, D, etc)
Chen Zhi teaches at the "Central Conservatory of Music" in China and has taught such well-known students such as Xuefei Yang (杨雪霏), Li Jie (李潔), Wang Yameng (王雅梦), Su Meng (苏萌), Chen Shanshan (陈姗姗).
Note: today Chen Zhi would avoid the use of the metronome while a student is playing, since it unfortunately results in students developing a *too mechanical* approach when playing.
